Yes the old man that lives next door. He likes the lighting in our living room (we now keep our blinds shut once it gets dark), knows how much other neighbors (and probably us) paid for their houses, watches us outside etc. He means well though, I think he's just really lonely.

I'd say I'm the nosy one but I'm home alone with LO a lot at night...so I need to know what's going on.

I'm sure. They are mostly retired so I'd imagine that they have time to keep tabs on things!

We just moved here a few months ago, so I'm not sure!

Not where we live but my mum's old neighbours were unbelievable! Both the mum and the dad of the family were unemployed so I guess they didn't have anything to do all day every day. The man was the worst - so nosy! Every time I pulled up outside my mum's house to visit he would come outside and either pretend to be putting something into his wheelie bin (and not so secretly stare at me) or would attempt to engage me in a conversation about one of the other neighbours - the condition of their fence or a potential squirrel infestation or something.

A couple of years ago, my computer broke so I went to my mum's to "work from home" two to three times a week for a few weeks. He was DESPERATE to know why I was there during the daytime - he came out of the house every time I arrived and asked if my mum was OK (with a look of extreme concern on his face). I would just say that she was fine thanks. At least every other time, he turned up on the doorstep half way through the day, using the excuse that he was dropping some old magazines round for my mum. They had never done that before - he just wanted to see what I was doing, if my mum was there etc. It was driving him CRAZY not knowing why I was there!!!
