My 3 year old gets to watch TV on weekend mornings- probably more than she should in one sitting, usually 2 hours? No screen time during the week. She doesn't play on phone/iPad unless we are traveling (TV time is not as regulated on vacation/plane/car trips). I find the more she watches, the more entitled she gets, and she's harder to deal with.

Not hard set rules but ds is 3 in November and usually gets 30-1 hour of screen time on the days he gets it. We've been out of the house a lot and he has school three days a week so he's been going without a lot.

We don't really have any set rules, but we probably watch about 1-1.5 hours/day on the weekend (and 30 minutes max during the week). We usually watch some TV after a meal (so after breakfast, after lunch, after dinner) and no more than 30 minutes at a time. I also cut off TV by a certain time at night (regardless of how little he may have watched or none at all) in order to have some calm TVless time before bed.

We don't really have any set rules, it really depends on how I am feeling that day We don't do any TV in the mornings on weekdays, but when we get home LO probably watches an hour or so if she didn't nap and just wants to relax before bed.

NO rules, we try to regulate it, but I use it when I cook dinner and she gets to watch 1/2 a show if she gets erady without issues in the morning. Honestly, I think when it becomes too 'regulated" is when kids start to throw fits about it. If it's not such a luxury she doesn't really care, it's more in the background while she's playing something else. I do shut it off if she's watching too much and tell her to "go color, read a book, or play"

The main thing I've tried to institute is no TV first thing in the morning. I make sure she has active and imaginative play first. I've found her behavior is so much better when she doesn't watch TV first thing - that was a suggestion from HB so thanks!

dd will be 3 in november. we don't watch on the weekdays since shes at preschool most of the day. we let her watch on the weekends, usually if ds is napping and we're not doing anything. its usually about an hour of "the egg lady" aka funtoyzcollector on youtube (okay, i'll admit, i find it pretty fascinating too! ). sometimes we watch some more after she naps. but we try to go out or do other activities so we're not watching too much. it probably ends up being 2-3 hours on the weekend? we do try to make it more of a reward for good behavior and being dry so she does have to kind of earn it. we don't let her watch if shes tired, or if shes in a bad mood already, bc it usually amplifies it!

He has no access to iPad or iPhone or computer. He is not allowed to watch TV anytime before lunch/nap. During the week I let him watch while I make dinner- usually about 45 minutes. He's 2.5

C is 2, and I try to limit it, but most days she watches a 30 minute episode of Daniel Tiger while I get ready in the morning (which is after breakfast and after DH leaves for work). Depending how in feeling and what we are doing that day, sometimes I let her watch another 30 minute episode then or after nap. I try not to ever do more than an hour a day total unless I'm feeling really crappy or it's a rainy day or something.

I almost never let her use my phone because i don't want her asking for it all the time! She gets to use my old iPhone in a big pink case for special occasions- like when she comes to a dr appt with me, on vacation, that kind of thing. I hide it the rest of the time.

She will sit and stare at the entire episode so I try to be conscious of limiting it if she just half watched and played I might care less.
