I am 99% sure we have too. I need to ask the teacher next week when she moves up to the Toddler 1 room. Her feet get so sweaty now, I hate to think what they are going to be when she is playing outside in the summer.

Yes. Ditto @Mamaof2 on the crocs since those are slippery

Yes our school's policy is closed toed shoes only, but I think shoes like Keens are allowed (but no crocs).

Yes. And considering that all the other kiddos--and teachers!--regularly wear solid-soled closed-toe shoes, I would not want my LO's feet exposed, even if that meant her feet got a little sweaty (my LO has sweaty feet too).

Yup. I have to ask when they enforce that rule. They never said anything last year when he was in the infant room, but I imagine now that he's moved up to the toddler room, we'll have to invest in some shoes. Eep!

Yup. I know we have a closed toe shoe policy. I haven't asked about crocs though. Fridays are "water play" day in the summer and I wouldn't want her getting other shoes wet so I hope they allow crocs!

Yes at DS' s preschool it was a rule. Now at elementary school it's only required for pe days.

Yes they require closed toe shoes as the outdoor areas are all sandy and they limit the amount of sand that ends up in the rooms. They do have water play every morning in the summer so we send her in water shoes (got keens for this summer) with socks and shoes to change into after water is over.

Yes they require it, but he can wear sandals that are closed toe so we do that in the summer.

I don't think so. The kids normally take off their shoes when they get inside. They only put their shoes on when they go outside to play or it's time to go home. We go to an in-home Montessori if that makes a difference.

@Alivoo01: Its a fire regulation that the kids must wear shoes at all times at our DCP

Yikes, I have no idea. We totally send them in just their socks frequently. Of course they're still in the baby room, but I think the other kids in there are usually just in socks, too. When we first started daycare, we would send them in socks and shoes, but they always ended up in the bag. Now, we do usually have them wear shoes since their walking, but I hadn't even thought about this being a policy. Guess I should check!

@Mrs. Blue: It doesn't matter in the infant room at our center.
