A friend of mine told me that she had two babies. My immediate thought was, "But you only have one baby!" Then I was like, "Ohh.... I get it."
Do you have two babies: your LO and your SO?

Yep! I have been getting on his case lately about his lack of picking up after himself. I even threatened to post a picture of FB about his lack of ability to make the laundry basket with his clothes, they will literally be within 12 inches of it on the floor. So frustrating & I thought maybe public humiliation will snap him into shape, but I never did it! ha

My husband is really only a baby when he's sick. Other than that he's quite self sufficient. I'm probably more of a baby than he is.

well, I can't say I have 2 because I'm still expecting. But, sometimes I feel like my husband is my baby.
He is independent and mature obviously...but just sometimes the things I have to argue with him about
-not to have that cookie because dinner will be done soon
-not to wear shorts in the cold...I feel like he is my 10yr old son!
But, he isn't messy thank goodness
I wouldn't tell people that though IRL life because my husband would def be annoyed. He is 31 years old so I doubt he wants me referring to him as baby # 2 to my friends!

@MamaMoose: Same. DH takes care of me more than the other way around in plenty of instances.
And our dog is ridiculously easy. So only one baby in the family.

@MamaMoose: Also, after going through pregnancy I am so much less sympathetic when DH is sick. I try to be nice, but there's definitely a big part of me that's thinking "yeah, tell me about it when you've felt like this FOR SIX MONTHS."

Sometimes. DH is 1/2 baby, 1/3 on good days. Mostly I just let him make a mess of things. I don't have the time or energy for it anymore!

I do have two babies, but that's because I have two LOs. I don't consider my husband on the same level as my kids because he doesn't NEEd me to take care of him, but I like to do it anyway because I love him.

@Lozza: Um, yes. Last night my husband made a sad face and said to me "man, I think I have a little heartburn". I gave him an incredibly dirty look and walked away.

Haha actually I'm the baby not DH! I love being taken care of by DH. He is messy, yes, but if I ask him he will clean up.

@Lozza: hahaha I know right!! When I see/hear people complain about pain I tell DH, "they don't know pain until they've given birth"

I have 2 babies - LO and fur-baby! Not my husband though; I'm only good at mothering our actual babies, not other grownups

Honestly, he has two babies more than I do. I find myself to be much more needy - especially when I'm sick! When he's sick, he's pretty good. He had three wisdom teeth taken out today and although I'm doing the motherly thing for him, he doesn't whine or complain at all. If I were in his shoes, it would be a whole different ballgame.

@TurtleDoves: OH MY GOSH. Ditto @
not to have that cookie because dinner will be done soon
not to wear shorts in the cold
also if I'm not home to cook - Chips and Salsa is NOT a meal

No. DH does not let me baby him. Even after he just has a major surgery he insists on doing things for himself. But I do have two babies, my LO and my pup.

Yes! We always joke about having 3 kids in the house.. the 2 LOs and the DH. We joke about it, but if I dwell on it too much, it actually makes me super frustrated.

Thank God, no!
Okay, maybe if he's sick, he turns into a baby. But so do I, if I'm sick.

Only if he's sick. If he wants go ruin his appetite or get cold outside that's his perogative. And if he whines about it after, he gets a song played on the world's tiniest violin...

Hubby is a baby only when he is sick and he usually doesn't get sick, so it's a doozie when he is sick.
Like, @Honeybee said, I take care of him because I care for him. He doesn't need it, but it makes me feel better. He is still getting used to that after taking care of himself for so long. He likes it, though. : )
I have a two babies. Our dog, Bonnie blue, and our angel baby, Susan Patricia.

@travelingbrit: are you kidding?...if I told DH chips&salsa was not a meal he would be depressed...that's his favorite "my wife isn't home" meal.

I have two babies, but neither of them is my hubs :). I think I might be more of a baby than he is (except when he's sick... Then I cut him some slack!)

I have four - an infant, a toddler, a dog, and my husband. That's why I have so much grey hair.

DH counts for like... 1/2 of another kid. Lol. Hes good at taking care of himself, but hes a SLOB. Im alway cleaning up after him.
So yeah, i have 2 1/2 kids, C, Stanley the kitty and DH.
