My parents barely have any white hair. Dad's hair is thick and black (haha. A friend in high school said it looked like Elvis' hair).
So far no white!

Since I've gone back to work, I've received lots of random strands of white. Once in a while, DH will do a thorough search and pull them out for me. So romantic :S

Luckily no white ones yet. I did find a strand that was half white and half black years ago.

I had one once. I ripped the sucker out and never saw it again.

Not yet, but I did find a blonde hair a while back. My hair is black so I didn't quite know what to make of it!

I like to think I don't, but I colour my hair often enough that I might never know.....

I've been finding a few white hairs here and there for the past year or so. For now I just pull them out and try to forget I saw them...

I don't know, bc I'm all about the blonde highlights...
But I have 1 white eyebrow hair I have to pluck all the time!

I pull a couple of greys every few weeks...not enough to color my hair though...

@Rubies: Omg I wish my DH would do that for me!
Instead, I have to do it myself or one of my friends will do it for me and I pull hers... hahaha.

I don't have white hair but my DH does. We have this saying in my culture that if you have white hair, good fortune will bestow you. I like to think that my husband has been fortunate to have met me. hehehe

I do, but the rest of my hair is blonde so it just looks like I'm getting highlights.

@PrincessBaby: I also have one eyebrow hair that is, well, *albino* . . . and also 2 pieces of hair in my right sideburn area that also suspiciously lack pigment!
@Boogs: Brutal! But effective!

Not yet. My mom is a red head in her early 60's and you can barely see any gray. I have dark brown hair and I know that I will go gray way before she did. I'll probably be dying my hair before she is!

I have lots of gray/white hair. I found my first the day after I turned 17. Both my parents went gray early so I have no hope!

yes, and they are UNRULY! Just had my first dye job since LO was born and it looks much better.

Yes, I found my first when I was 21! Thanks Mom. @katyh: agreed - they are crazy unmanageable, very wiry.

mmmm... both my parents went gray (or salt and pepper?) very late, but they both pretty much expect to be all gray very soon. I've seen the errant white hair (horrifying since I have long hair and the white hair is always the length of my hair!!! how did it get that long and white and I didn't notice???) and I rip them out every time. Sometimes I have Wagon Sr. spend an evening looking for white hairs and pulling them out. Luckily so far I haven't found more than 2 in a session.

@mrs. wagon: haha! I'm the same way. I'll be straightening my hair and find a really long one and I'm like (O_O), how did I not see it before this?!?!? After my brief freak out moment, I yank it out and start combing through my head looking for others...
I get random white hairs here and there, but nothing consistent, thank goodness! Both of my parents starting getting lots of white hairs in their 50's though.
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
I'm 60% gray at this point... maybe even more. I dye my hair every 6 weeks to cover it. Sometimes I think about just letting it go but I'm afraid to look "old" before my time.

@Boogs: @hellobeeboston: I refuse to concede that any hair is grey/white until all alternative theories have been disproved!

I found one white hair shortly after I got married at 25, but that's about it.
Both my dad and sister started going grey really, really young. My dad was only 18 and my sister just 15!! My sister is 24 and is already 70% grey!
