I feel like a lot of women want to have the experience of a mother-daughter relationship. Is this how you feel or would you like to have all boys?

I did want a girl. So glad I have her! I do have a friend who wants 4 boys.

I never dreamed about having a girl and dressing her up, etc. I am happy with my girl but I really want a son next! My DH and his brothers are so kind to their mom...I want the same!

I really want to have a girl. I have such a good relationship with my mom and i want to experience that with my own daughter.

I don't feel strongly about having a girl. I'd be perfectly happy having all boys.

Yes I really want a girl. I'm a girly girl and I would love to do all those fun things with my daughter. But if she's a tomboy, I'd still love to have that close mother-daughter relationship with her.
I also want a son though. One reason is because of my relationship with DH's mom. A lot of MIL's are portrayed as overbearing and annoying, but mine is a wonderful woman! I love her so much (I'm closer to her than my mom, though of course I love my mom as well) and I hope to have a daughter in law myself one day.

Yes I definitely want a girl. I would be happy with 2 boys and a girl. I just think that without a girl, you miss out on all the stuff that happens after your child grows up-girls are more likely to involve their moms in wedding planning, babies, etc etc. Obviously it's not a cut and dry rule, but I know that's the kind of relationship I have with my mom, and I would want that with a daughter as well.

I've always wanted a girl, though my husband is one of two boys and talking to his mom about raising two little boys almost changed my mind about having a girl.

Oh yes, I wanted a girl SO badly. I'm sure I'll be hating myself for it when she becomes a teenager but I'm SO HAPPY we're going to have a girl! Even my husband is looking forward to raising a girl.

Yes! I would love to have a little girl. She would be the first in both families so I know everyone would be excited as well.

I'm very happy to have my little girl!! Part of me would like a boy next but the other part thinks that sister bond is so cool!! I have a little brother & so does DH so no sisters!!

I kinda wanted a boy but now it looks like we will have 2 girls for now... Maybe next time

I think I'd go crazy if I had all boys. Thankfully my first born is a girl! Now I don't care what I have as long as s/he's healthy.

I want both, to the point that we'll adopt if I have two of the same gender (I think both my husband and I are hoping the first two are the same gender. We want three!)

I really want 1 of each! So yes, I really want a daughter. I also really want a son. I love my relationship with my mother and I love the whole "father-daughter" bond that I never had and want that for my future daughter. I also really want a son and so does SO! But, we'll see. We've basically said, if we have 2 and they are the same gender, we will probably adopt one of the opposite gender. 3 is our absolute max anyway and we don't really want to chance 3 of the same gender. Too much estrogen or testosterone.

I have a son, and he'll probably be our only child. If we were to have more, I'd want all boys. I don't think that the mother/daughter bond is any "better" or more "important" than the mother/son bond.

I want at least one girl but I never really thought about the mother-daughter relationship until now. I guess I didn't really have a strong bond with my mother. I do want a girl for girly reasons like doing her hair, makeup, first dances, first kiss, first boyfriend, etc.

I did want at least 1 girl but didn't think it was possible since DH comes from a family of all boys but our 2nd was a girl!

At least one! I HOPE!!!... I heard a saying the other day... "every mother needs at least one daughter..." and I think my mom wholeheartedly believes this... as do many other females in my life.

For some reason once I met my husband I thought we were going to have all boys. I wasn't sure if I had a preference, but for some reason had in my mind we would have boys.
So far we have 1 daughter and really happy, though I do worry about those teenage years. I want her to have an excellent relationship with papa and her aunts so if she starts butting heads with me she can talk to someone.

At first, I definitely wanted a boy more than a girl. So when our first LO was a boy, i was ecstatic because I really didn't care what #2 would end up being. Now that I"m pregs with #2, I'm slightly leaning towards wanting a girl. But I'd be also thrilled with another boy. I'm 51% wanting girl and 49% wanting boy. Boys are so fun! My LO is my little buddy and I love that he's a little monster boy. DH dreams of all the things he will do with him growing up (playing catch, watching sports on TV, going to movies together) and I love hearing him dream like that.

Somehow I did not have a strong preference when I was preggie with my first although I did think that girls are nicer to shop for, haha. But DH wanted a girl. Well, we found out at 6.5 months that we will be having a girl. DH was thrilled while I was worried (still am!!!) cos mothers and daughters pretty much have love hate relationships :P. can't live with them yet can't live without them!
But when we were deciding whether or not to have another child, I was inspired by photographer Jason Lee's photos of his two daughters and wanted a sister for my oldest. Well I got more than I bargained for, my oldest now has twin sisters

I really want a girl for all the reasons you all have mentioned. I hope #1 is a girl so we can not worry about what the rest end up being! I'd be happy with one girl and the rest boys, or all girls!

I want one of each if possible! my mom had 3 and loved it, my MIL had 3 boys, and mentions how she wished she had one girl to do the girlie stuff with! I made sure to include her on all my wedding stuff since she didn't get to do it with a daughter.

I have sisters and it's a really special bond, so I'd love to have all girls... but after my first being a girl, it didn't really matter so much

DH wants a girl so badly! I'm glad my first was a boy though. I didn't have a great relationship with my mom growing up so I was nervous about having a girl of my own.
