we measured charlie and olive back in april and again last night. charlie grew one inch and olive grew 2 inches! we have small kids so I think measuring them a couple times a year is enough?
Do you keep a height chart? How often do you measure?

My husband does! He tries to measure her every month on the same date.

She got one for her 1st birthday and I've only measured her once so far (she's 18 months).

We measure DS every couple of months and mark it on the door in our upstairs hallway. It'll be interesting to add DS2's measurements alongside.

We mark on the wall beside each of their closets. Just planning to do every year at their birthday. Maybe we should think about doing half birthdays too....

I want to start doing this! I would do it on a wall but I'd be so sad if we moved and didn't get to take it with us.

We have a growth stick that one of my friends made us recently. We're planning on starting to use it on his first birthday.

I have a growth chart for DS that has birthday stickers and a few extra stickers. I started measuring him when he was 24" (at the bottom of the chart) and did a few times during his first year. Now we just do birthdays. I might do extra measurements if I notice a big growth spurt.

Yes, a paper one. It was a gift, but I probably would have bought or made one. I think it has adhesive on the back for putting it up, but we rent and I want to take it with us when we move, so I just hung it on the wall with pins instead. I'm not terribly systematic about taking measurements--I do it whenever I feel like it and/or whenever I think he's had a growth spurt!
