It depends on the temperature and time of year. We like to keep it closed so he sleeps better when he doesn't hear us puttering around the house. however, the radiator in his room steams the place up (we're in a rental and can't control the temperature), so we often find ourselves opening the door in the winter to try to make the room a comfortable temperature.
