I had never met/ heard of a child with my name before (I know several adults with it) - this past weekend we were out and about and I heard someone call my name only to realize they were talking to their toddler! Finally! ha!

Not IRL but there was an HB baby born like 3 years ago maybe with my name (same spelling, which is unusual).

Yes! So, so many. It's very popular these days - especially as a nickname.

Nope. People with my name were almost always born between 1980-1985. If I hear my name I assume it's someone my age. Very trendy. I would be super surprised to hear a baby named it b

Nope, and honestly I don't hear my name much at all, not like I did when I was in school and there was always at least 5 of us. My name is definitely a mid-70's name.

Actually no, which might be surprising because it's a very classic name, but it was also SUPER popular in the mid-80s

A co-worker used it like 5 years ago. But my first name is a family last name. Otherwise no one uses it anymore.

yes, my good friend has a niece that shares the name (she's started calling her my nickname, I think it's cute!)
pomegranate / 3314 posts
No. It was never a hugely popular name, but the time it was most popular was in the 80s.

I do not. And I don't know very many that are my age.. i was always the only one in school and college. However I do hear it a lot while out and about now bc a certain tv show made it popular about 10 years ago (I think). It's so odd for me to hear it being called and I always assume it's me so I whip my head around.. yup, it's not me its the 7 yr old or toddler they are talking to ....

Nope, not my name. In the alley of our subdivision where the two streets back up to each other, there are 5 Jennifers. They're all 40 years or older. So, in the late 60's-early 70's, it was hugely popular around here.

Not my full name but my NN which I go by is popular. I also hear both in pop culture a fair amount- like characters in movies/shows.

I've only once met someone my age with my name. Lots of four year olds now have it. There are two hb babies I can think of with it.
coconut / 8079 posts
I can think of one that I know. I think it is slightly more popular now than it was when I was born.

Nope. I've never met anyone with the same name.
pomelo / 5791 posts
Nope, it's a super 80's name. I've only ever heard people my age with my name.

No, my name wasn't even popular when I was born. It's usually women much older than me that have it. But not old enough to be grandma chic yet, lol.

One of my good friends just named her daughter my name! Not after me, haha. I have a very classic name that's been popular in like every decade

Nope! I don't personally know anyone else with my first name either!

@Mrs. Pickle: LO 1's soccer friend's mom has the same name and spelling!!!
pomegranate / 3350 posts
Nope. I only know one other female with my name and have seen/heard of just a handful of others. My name peaked the year I was born in the mid-200's and totally fell out of the top 1000 names after 2001. The male version of my name has always been more popular but I doubt I'd meet a child with that name either.

Never IRL, but I know Diddy used my name for his daughter a few years back My name is a very popular nickname for a 80s name, so it's not around much anymore.

No, I don't really know anyone with my name...though a friend of mine told me they're considering it if their next baby is a girl (they are TG). I would love that!

Nope. I've only met one other person in my life with my name. My nickname is a little more popular since it can be used for other names.

Yes! My friend's daughter (we met after she had her so it wasn't like she was named after me)
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@autumnlove: that's so neat! Maybe I'll have to come visit you so I can meet her.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
Well the "kid" I know is now in college. Even when she was little and I was the college student/ young adult her name seemed so out of place. I have a very 80s name.

@Mrs. Pickle: One of the VPs of my DH's group at work shares your name. It's a pretty male-dominated field so she's known as a total badass around here!
