Hellobee Boards

I know some people who say/do really mean things sometimes, but I don't think they do them intentionally, necessarily. So I'm not sure if they're actually mean or just not self-aware enough to function nicely.

I was friends with a girl in high school who once told me that she doesn't like to be friends with people that are prettier then her because it hurts her self esteem. And yes, I stayed friends with her. She was always obsessed with being thin, and other people's weight as well. Obviously she had a very low self esteem.

We're facebook friends and she keeps saying we should meet up so she can meet my LO. I keep making excuses because I haven't lost my baby weight and I know she'd judge me. It makes me sad that I think that, but it's so true.

@chopsuey119: me too, but I can be pretty mean if you do something that upsets me. I can hold a grudge for a LOOOOONG time.

I had a coworker who was really mean and manipulative but she was on drugs. I'm not sure what she would have been like not on drugs but she was mean a lot of times for no reason, made everyone walk on eggshells.

I know a girl who is extremely mean, I'm not close with her but we occasionally are in the same circle of friends. She is a drama queen who comes off as very entitled to everything, as she was used to getting everything handed to her. I find her company very unnerving but it appears her "friends" still hangout with her and want her approval when they all talk behind her back. Seems so high school to me, but I guess even in mid/upper 20s that this stuff still happens!
