I put apples, fuji or honey crisp on the grocery list.
My DH just texted me "What are honey crisps?" He apparently just spent a ridiculous amount of time walking up and down the cereal aisle looking for a box of "honey crisps" hehe 
Anyone else particular about apple types?

@LuLu Mom: I like pink lady's too! And gala, and granny smith. I'm trying a new recipe that called for fuji or honey crisp though. We'll see what I actually end up with !

Haha, my husband is very picky about his apples. He says he only likes Fugi, but I can sneak gala in there too sometimes.
When I read the post title I got "honey crisp" confused with the cereal "golden crisp", but as soon as I thought about it in the context of apples, I knew exactly what you meant.

We prefer to eat Honeycrisps! Although a local orchard grows a great Fuji so we've been eating lots of those this fall.

@cmomma17: not apple related but I sent my DH to the store for tea bags to make iced tea and he came back with crystal light iced tea with lemon packets. He's like I looked everywhere, they don't sell tea bags at the grocery store LOL.

I only recently discovered honeycrisps!! They are amazing. I love them.
I grew up in apple growing country in upstate NY and we used Macintosh for pie and Empire for eating. Using something other than Macs for pie-making was frowned upon! Lol. They aren't as common in Texas, so I have to go searching for them when I want apple pie!

Yep! My favorites are honeycrisp, jonagold, pink lady, and Fuji or gala, in that order. I love living near some of the best orchards in the country -- all the local apples and pears are sooo fresh and delicious right now!

YES! They were actually engineered to be more delicious! It is a hybrid developed by/in a University of Minnesota cross breeding program.
