We own both of our cars now. But DH's had his for 10+ years with over 220K+ miles. Mine I will be giving to my mom since I need a bigger car.
We're both in the market for new cars. We'll probably buy one and lease one. (He drives a lot for work).
I'm thinking about the Toyota 4Runner or Infiniti QX70 or Lincoln MKT. DH is looking at a bigger sedan, Lincoln MKZ, Ford Fusion, or an Acura TLX.

We bought my car, and we lease DH's. He has an electric car and because the technology on them is changing so rapidly, it made more sense to lease than buy.

Own. The only leases I've looked into were low mileage and the payments were not significantly less than financing.
I have a Toyota 4Runner and love it! I'll be buying a new car this year, and will be looking at the new 4Runners, and also at the Infinity SUVs because I can get a deal on them through work and the Lexus RX350.

We own both, DH just has a commuter car since he drives 30 miles each way for work a day, when he's at work he has a company truck. So really, my car is our "family car" we never use his on weekends.

Bought mine and leased DH's. We got a great deal on the lease and it didn't make sense to buy a car he drives 3 miles a day round-trip to the train.

Own mine, I average 20,000 miles a year so leases don't make sense and DH's company owns his. We used to own it as well but the company prefers it this way and expects us to use it for personal use as well so there is no point in owning another.

Own both. I would never lease a car. We buy them with the hopes of driving them to the ground 10+ years.

Own. I actually prefer to pay cash and not finance or do 0% financing for a year if we can get that far ahead in our finances. Dunno if we'll be able to do that next time, but i HATE paying interest!

Own. We have a really old Accord with over 200k miles on it that I drive almost 60 miles per day. We're actually about to buy a newer used car--a 3rd row SUV--but again, we'll buy used and pay cash.
My husband doesn't pay finance fees and doesn't like payments. My dad was the same way!

Own both. 1st one is my old car that DH now drives (a 4runner). It's almost 11 years old and only has 60k miles, so it's got a while to go. Our second car, "my" car, is a Mazda cx9. We have awhile to pay it off though, sadly. I'd like to replace the 4runner with a minivan after the Mazda is paid off....I don't want to (and can't) deal with two car payments).

@ValentineMommy: we're about to get a CX-9! Do you like it? I'm pregnant with our second, so we will primarily just be using the 2 rows, with the 3rd row as an option when we have a parent flying in to visit. I was surprised that I could fit in the 3rd row, at 5'7 and pregnant!

@bunnylove08: We were in your exact situation, our Matrix was almost 12 years old and we just bought a Subaru Forester! I LOVE the Forester, so many great safety features and very comfortable.

We own both. DH's Tundra was paid off last year while we just bought mine two years ago. We kept putting the money for the Tundra aside thought for the next car or truck.

We own both but are looking to get rid of DH's and get a lease.
He drives a lot for work, we need a bigger car, we live in the city. I think we'll probably lease our next one.

We lease mine and own DHs. I like to drive a newer car and I don't drive long distances often so it makes sense for us.

MIL works for nissan, so we leased through her for a long time because we got great deals. We wound up buying our current car (with her friends/family discount). We (both DH and I and MIL) didn't want to keep dealing with the leases (they came out of her check and we had to pay her), and she wants to quit soon so we could have wound up with no car on short notice. We wouldn't lease without her discount because it's just not financially savvy, and we can afford to buy.
