Do you leave your baby in the carseat if he/she is sleeping once you get home?

I do but I stay in the car with her. If I move her she wakes up and I usually like her to get a good nap in.

I have. Is that bad?!
I also had the carseat that came out, so I would take it inside.

@Rosie Girl: I don't think so! my LO is still in her carseat sleeping.. Its 445 here, we got home at 3...

Yup - I figure there is no sense waking her by taking her out!

oh yeah I meant staying inside the carseat in the house...
@artbee: what a dedicated mother! I would get too antsy inside the car sitting in the driveway waiting for lo to wake up! I would bring her in and let her wake up.

definitely! not waking them up, but still able to carry them around is the biggest perk of the infant carseat IMO.

@lovelife: I think it's more tired than dedicated. I need her nap more than she does. And I always have my phone and hellobee to keep me entertained!

@artbee: totally. we do the same thing all the time - sit in the driveway!
as for in the house, yes, we did that when she was in the infant carrier but not for a long period of time as she usually woke up shortly after arriving back home.

yup! RJ pretty much LIVED in his carseat for the first 3 months. he also slept great in his convertible... when he was transitioning from 3 naps to 2, I'd get him to take the 3rd nap by driving him around. I really wonder how much $ I spent on gas for naps! It's a good thing I had a smartphone otherwise I'd have been really bored every day

I would if my LO continued to sleep, but she seems to know when we get home. It's the weirdest thing..

@tina: I often think about the money we waste on gas too.. but her naps are priceless!

@Andrea: that makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one! I'm sure my neighbors think I'm nuts.

@artbee: you're not alone sister!! i wonder how many parents in this world sit in their driveways with a sleeping baby? it's like we should have a network so we can chat while doing so. LOL.

Yep, I would just take the carseat inside and let him sleep till he woke up. I"m not waking a sleeping baby!

I sure do. I bring the car seat in the house, but my cousin bought a cheap 2nd baby monitor that she sticks in the car and leaves LO in there (obviously well ventilated and temperature OK)
