We used to try to get him to always sleep in his crib but lately I am all about whatever works since his sleep has gone so badly in the past week. So we've been letting him sleep in swing during the day more often.

I did! She pretty much decided against it and went in the crib/pnp at 4 months but we still have an occasional swing nap!

Sometimes! The swing really calms him down, so he'll fall asleep and I'll let him nap.

A few times but she primarily hated our swing.

ALL THE TIME!!!! Though now that he's older (4.5 months), he naps in his crib because that's where he sleeps the best. But when he was under 3 months, the swing was WHERE IT WAS AT! His best naps were in that swing! It was a lifesaver!!!

Every nap at home is done in the swing. I don't like it, but it is what works. We will be sleep/nap training in a few weeks (at 5.5 months) so she will be in her crib starting then.

Every once in a while is she's having a tough time settling. She's way too big for it though I really need to pack it away.

For the first 3 months 95% of W's naps were in the swing or on me in the ring sling. When we transitioned him to his crib from the bassinet he started napping there.

She doesn't usually like the swing, so if she falls asleep in it ever, yes! This week she actually took a 1 hour and 45 min. nap in the swing and it was AMAZING how much I got done! I tried to replicate it again every day since, and no dice.

This is making me feel better. I was worried I am messing him up somehow by letting him nap in it, but seriously.... if it is no nap or nap in the swing, I choose swing!

I would have while he was a newborn (probably until 4 months) but he never fell asleep in there! It was always on me...while I was bouncing on an exercise ball

Yes, and I worried about it but I shouldn't have.
I just kept randomly offering/ trying the crib but if it didn't work she went back to her swing. She napped in crib more and more and naturally started napping there by the time she grew out of the swing. And she didn't grow out of it until 12 months!

@lizzywiz: That's just what I needed to hear. Thank you!

E loved his swing and it was a life saver! When nothing else would work, the swing would. We didn't pack it up until he was 9 months old, because in the middle of the night when you've been up for 2 hours and you need to get up for work at 5am, you'll do whatever works.

I totally did, whenever she wanted to, because she napped great in there. We never really needed it at night. She outgrew needing/wanting it around 4 or 5 months, I think.

At 12 weeks DD naps exclusively in the swing. It is a source of much anxiety for me, as I worry about her always needing it, but at the same time I use it because it works!
