Ohhhh now I want some BAD. Every place I've gone to (with exception of the grocery store food courts) have the rolling carts and the yelling Asian women.
I love the shrimp rice sheets, shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings, Chinese broccoli (need something to cut the grease), chrysanthemum tea with the flower petals, lotus leaf sticky rice, deep fried taro, and EGG TARTTTTSSSS. I think I'm going to go this weekend, even if it's all by myself

@NorCalWayfarer: @Bao: I always thought that too... that Bao picker her name because it meant bun.

@NorCalWayfarer: @Raindrop: lol no, how do you even pronounce it? My HB name is my nickname from DH that's all he calls me and we pronounce it Bay-Oh.

@Bao yup, I assumed your name referred to a love for dim sum as well! Funny how we each contextualize things in our own frame of reference.
I just went to a friend's baby shower at an amazing all you can eat dim sum place today. Absolute heaven for a bunch of dumpling loving pregnant ladies!

I used to go with my friends in college but the experience was too loud for me! As you can tell I don't like loud restaurants.

@Rubies: ha, same. Like it, but the experience usually involves my ILs, thus diminishing the enjoyment.

@sandy: I'd be interested! My favorite is Jade Garden in the ID, I also like Noble Court in Bellevue (when I go with my family on the eastside. I wish I spoke a little Chinese though - I always feel like a silly American when I go - I just say yes when they show the items!

@sandy: I'm totally up for it! Jade Garden is good! I haven't been there in a long time. We usually go to Kings or Jois on the eastside.

@dojo: LOL I love when the dim sum ladies always try to pawn stuff on DH. Haha they always do that to Americans.

LOVE! And since there are no decent places to have it where I live, I crave it all the time.
Took the LO to his first dim sum while we were home for christmas. He loves his "Yum Yum Dim Sum" book!
