I don't live in a walking city so we don't have a lot of food trucks. But we're having a food truck rally this weekend- I'm very excxited!

Yes I LOVE food trucks. There's a lobster truck that comes by every week near my work and it's awesome!

I'm indifferent about them. Some of them are tasty, some are gimmicky, and almost all of them are overpriced compared to "traditional" food trucks. I think they're a fad that will soon pass (in OC, at least-- just like Asian/cajun places and froyo shops).

i love them. i think some of them are probably shady cleanliness-wise, but food just tastes better from a truck!

I like the idea of them a lot, because it's a much less expensive way for restaurateurs to try out a food concept without having to make the investment of opening a restaurant. As far as eating from food trucks... I do like them, but only if I am going to be able to head back to my office to sit down and eat. I don't like eating while walking or sitting on a bench (if you can even find an open bench near a food truck, that is), so sometimes a traditional restaurant is my preference for that reason.

I love them! They've gotten really popular over here, and there are truck rallies/gatherings all. the. time. There's one walking distance from my house every Wednesday. I do think some of them are a bit gimmicky (it seems to be a fad right now to turn any Asian food into a burrito), but some of them are really good. My favorite is a Chinese steamed bun truck. Whenever they're at a food truck gathering, I neglect all other trucks for their buns.

@HabesBabe: I hope fro yo doesn't go away! Although there are too many of them around here, I could do with just one or two great ones.

@HabesBabe: I completely agree that they are overpriced.
We don't really have many around and this that are are boring - pizza, ice cream, burgers. Uh, I can get that anywhere!

I lived off of food truck food in college. It was so cheap and yummy. We had a really good variety on campus.
