    @autumnlove: not so much about homemade, more about how teeth aching sweet most frosting / icing are!!!

    Um, YES?! If at a family gathering with a square/rectangular cake, everyone knows to give me a corner slice!

    @grizz: omg, that sounds heavenly!!

    Anyone else really want frosting now? I may need to go to a grocery store at lunch to get something that's frosted, lol.

    @grizz: Confession: when I worked as a baker I would eat the leftover frosting straight out of the bag. With the piping tip still attached.

    Nope. I can only eat a little bit of it. Too sweet.

    @locavore_mama: So what do you do when you order a cake from somewhere? Like when you ordered that ice cream cake?

    @lawbee11: I will be expecting my invitation for the party, cause I need some of that cake!

    @locavore_mama: my mama feels the same way!

    @Smurfette: haha I order it for others but I scrape it off my slice. I'm always that person that throws away a plateful of frosting at parties.

    @locavore_mama: How can you do that??!! It is the best part

    @Smurfette: haha I know it's sacrilegious.

    I like frosting, but I scrape most of it off, too. It depends on how sweet the frosting is, to achieve a perfect cake to frosting ratio.

    Soooooo, there is a tupperware container filled with leftover frosting from L's party in mah freezer. I can't eat it all ladies. I can't eat it all.

    @Espion: The ratio can be tweaked by re-allocating the cake . . . for example, if a cupcake has (seemingly) too much frosting, I simply detach the bottom of the cupcake and invert it on top of the frosting (a cupcake sandwich, if you will). That immediately takes care of any too much/not enough issues!

    @MsLipGloss: good idea!

    There are every few icing recipes I actually like. I much prefer just cake. But my mom's homemade icing I can eat plain!

    @MsLipGloss: I've seen that! I have a tendency to inject frosting or cream in the middle of my homemade cupcakes anyway. >:)(Like hostess cupcakes)

    I like cream cheese frosting but not buttercream. If it's a store bought cake I usually scrape off the frosting and just eat the cake and filling.

    @Alivoo01: i don't like to eat cream cheese on things, but i do like cream cheese frosting

    love frosting! not most grocery store frosting or frosting from a can, whole foods bakery is decent though, but most grocery store frosting is subpar. and 'bettercream' is gross, that whipped wannabe replacement for real buttercream. there is no replacement for buttercream, don't even try. it's frosting, it's supposed to be bad for you, just go with it! mmmmm..... i think i might need to go get a cupcake tonight

    @lawbee11: @Smurfette: It's too bad I didn't know you ladies when I got married. Our wedding cake was white cake with fresh made whipped cream and strawberries soaked in Grand Marnier. YUM.

    @locavore_mama: same!! I loathe frosting. I can handle a lick or two, but more than that makes my teeth ache! I scrape off and eat the cake only!

    @lawbee11: @MsLipGloss: March 2015 will be 5 years. That definitely calls for a HB meetup in Nashville with cake!!!

    A cupcake without frosting is a muffin.

    And yes, I love it.

    @.twist.: that's weird. Most people like to give kids all kinds of sugar.
