I'm kind of indifferent towards it. While some people look great with it I can't help but think its grown out roots that need a touch up lol. I pinned this not too long ago

I think it can work if its done nicely, but it's not for everyone

Love it! I've been doing it to my hair for years.
Mine is dark brown on the top and light brown on the bottom

My theory is that it is a result of the recession. Can't afford to get your roots touched up? That's okay, we'll just make it trendy to go too long between dye jobs...

LOL. Great ecard!
I think it looks pretty neat. Especially on radiators and silverware...not always on hair.

@Minnie_Girl: I love it on furniture!
@mrsaudi: @JustlikeHeaven: thanks! My hair is shorter now but still has bits of lightness at the bottom. I love it a lot. I do think it looks "dirty" when a blond has dark brown roots. I like it best on brunettes.

i like it! I dont dye my hair but if i did, i think I would give it a try!

I used to like it when it wasn't so popular. Like, two years ago. But now that every other girl in the whole wide world has it, I don't like it anymore. When I went to the salon in February and every single hair stylist had Ombre I was like "oh crap... I did to get rid of this hair style PRONTO!" Being on the bandwagon is NOT cool....

I love it! I went ombre for the summer and it was a lot of fun. A good way for me to go lighter since I have hair dye allergies. It was blonder on the ends then, but I recently took it down to a warm brown (dark brown on top) ombre which is much more subtle.

When it's light and subtle, sure, but when there's drastic shades - eh. Not so much.

I just can't get on board with this trend. I think it looked THE worst on Khloe Kardashian, which is a shame because I think she's gorgeous!

I'm in agreement with most of you ladies. I think it just looks like you haven't been in to the salon for a touch up in far too long. I've never really gone for the super trendy hairstyles though.

I dont really like it... but I am kinda conservative with my hair, so maybe its just not for me.

I guess it depends on how drastic it is. I think @Coco Bee's hair looks good. I don't particularly like when it goes from dark brown to bleach blonde or vice-versa.
I have this going on LOL but that's because I haven't highlighted my hair in almost two years and I have really long hair, so the highlights are definitely still there and I have brown roots down to about the middle of my neck. Oops.

I like it done subtly but I guess I was thinking more front to back than top to bottom. My hair is naturally much more blond in the front than the back so I've always kinda had it to an extent. I don't like the skunk look though where front streaks are bleached and then it's really dark in the back.

Mine is dark auburn with a brighter red on the tips. I like it.
I think that is looks good as long as the change isn't DRASTIC. I actually really dig it when it's a strange color too. I don't like what Drew Barrymore was doing or when it's dark brown to blonde.

I liked it a long time ago but never had the guts to try it. I like looking polished now after becoming a mom (which is so hard to do when someone is always drooling, tugging, spitting up on me!)
@Coco Bee: yours is really subtle and pretty--I would consider something like that.
