I was reading a magazine article where a woman mentioned that she hated the way her first husband smelled. She much preferred her second husband's smell: a more earthy scent (he did manual labor, IIRC).
I hadn't thought much about the way that scent impacts a relationship. I don't really have a strong scent preference, as long as there's not a lot of perfume involved.

When I first started dating my husband I thought he smelled weird. But as I grew to like him, his smell became something I love! The couple of times he's had to travel away from me, I usually sleep with his pillow.
I'm super interested in smell and how humans are tied to them. I loved the way my jerk ex smelled, but obviously my nose fooled me.
I've also read that women may be attracted to different men if they are on birth control, for instance if you're not on BC, you may think a guy smells awful and won't date him, but if you are on BC, his smell may be wonderful. Weird.

i do! when we were dating, if he spent the night, the next night i would take the pillow he'd slept on & sleep on it because i missed him & i liked the pillow to smell like him =)

For the most part. I don't like when he wears a lot of cologne and I don't like how he smells when he hasn't showered in two days. Other than that, I love how he smells.

I love the way DH smells! Even when he's been out in the yard all day he's not stinky at all =)

Yes, I like his natural smell, not the cologne. I can smell his neck all day long. Yum.

I love the way DH smells! I always sleep in his tshirts and I love waking up smelling like him
