I like it in general because it's my favorite SIL's name
I haven't heard it for a baby recently and I feel sort of neutral about it in that sense.

I like it! I dont hear it often anymore, so that makes it even better

I like it. I know a real life Bethany and she is thoughful, confident, and smart.

Don't love or hate it, but now it reminds me of Bethany Frankel from TV, which isn't a terrible association. Neutral.

I don't think it is a bad name but it isn't one I would chose. How do you feel about the nickname Beth? I also think of Bethany Frankel.

Who is Bethany frankel? I'm feeling out of the loop, but I don't have tv lol. I'm ok with the nick name Beth. My grandmothers name was Elizabeth so I kind of like the ties to that without being a direct link.

@Beyond2: She's a former real housewife of new york (I should be embarrassed that I know that). I love Beth! It seems timeless

Super yay. I love that name. And Frenkel is Bethenny (wha??) so that doesn't count.

My DH and I went to Bethany University, so yes, I really like that name.

I'm biased because my grandma was Beth so I love the name. I plan on using Beth as a middle name if we have a future daughter.

Yes! It made my list, but DH vetoed it pretty early on.

Nay...but only because I am not a fan of the Bethanys I know! Before I knew them I thought it was a lovely name.

Nay... only because it reminds me of The Real Housewives.

Not bad. It's not like, on the list of names I'd use for my own kids, but if I heard it for somebody else I'd think it was a perfectly nice name!

I like the name, but all I think of is Bethany Frankle and she is annoying to me.

I like the name Bethany. I went to school with a girl named that, she was bubbly, smart, and really well liked.

I've only ever met two in person with the name, so I feel like it isn't a super common name anymore, but it isn't 'out there'...I like it!

I think Beth is cute. I'm annoyed that I do associate Bethany with bethenny frankel...even though I don't have any problem with her (I only know her from being on Anderson cooper a few times.) but I think that association will fade with soon enough. I like that it honors your grandmother Elizabeth. Although I love Elizabeth much more than Bethany.
