This morning I left the bacon in the oven for too long, and was super bummed that the bacon was so crispy. But since it wasn't burned, I gave it to Charlie anyway... and wow, he gobbled it up! Normally he doesn't really eat all that much bacon. I guess I've been cooking it all wrong!

Nope! I grew up with that bacon (my mom always cooked it till it was almost burned) I was used to it, but I didn't care for it. Now DH cooks it perfectly everytime! It's just a little chewy no where near raw though. but not totally crispy. Yum!

I like it crispy, but not too crispy. My mom used to undercook them and I just could eat them.

I like it with a little black on it! In restaurants, I ask them for extra crispy or slightly burnt.

My husband loves it extra crispy. I love it still chewy. It comes out just right if I bake it in the oven. Mmmm...bacon.

I love it kind of chewy with a little crisp on the edges. I have started baking mine in the oven too... so much easier!

I have to have it crispy - DH likes his chewy. So, when he's cooking the bacon, he'll give any overdone (aka crispy) ones to me.

I like it a little bit chewy with some crisp on the edge. I've never gotten around to baking it but I take it out of the frying pan right before I think I probably should and it's usually perfect.

I like it not too chewy not crispy ... over crispy would go on a salad, would hate to waste bacon.

YES! It has to be crispy! But not dry crispy... it's such a thin line. I like mine more well done than my husband does. His pseudo-sister hates it crispy and prefers it to be LIMP!! ugh!!!

I prefer it on the softer, chewier side if I'm eating it by itself. If it's going on a sandwich though, I like it crispy

I like it pretty crispy. I make it in the microwave to save time sometimes and it's never crispy enough.

I only eat turkey bacon and it doesn't get crispy. Actually I started eating duck bacon too, they serve it at the restaurant my mom and I go to for breakfast once a week. Its also not crispy, and lo loved it too. Surprising because she's not a meat eater.

Yes, it's gotta be almost burnt! To quote What's Eating Gilbert Grape, "Nobody wants greasy, floppy bacon!"
