I don't love mine... I didn't smile so I look like a terrorist. Possibly a war criminal. If I ever get on the FBI's most wanted list, everyone is going to assume that I am guilty.
Do you like your driver's license photo?

Haha! Oh no. DH's photo is completely creepy, he hates when anyone asks for ID. I like mine right now, although, I was abnormally tan because we had just gotten back from our honeymoon.

Noooo... I was 30 pounds heavier and they wouldn't let me wear my glasses 0_0 I was so ticked I had to get a new card, my original picture (from when I was 17) was SO GOOD!

I don't hate it, although I look really super blonde in it because we just got back from our honeymoon. It's definitely an improvement from my last one. When it printed off it had a big black speck right over one of my teeth so I looked like I missing a tooth! It was awful!

No! I loved the last one I had but this one I had taken shortly after having DS and my face is all chubby, the weird lights they had that day made my hair look a really odd shade of red, almost orange (it's dark auburn).

@jennylynn: I had a speck on my first license and everyone alway would ask what was on my face, hahaha

I actually love mine because you can tell how freaking excited I am to be getting my license with my married name! ha!
Also, I was tan from our honeymoon, so that didn't hurt either.

I loved all my previous driver's license pictures, but my last one made me look about 50 lbs heavier than what I was for some reason! I've actually gotten comments like, "Oh wow, you must have lost a lot of weight!" Yeah, no, actually I haven't lost any! The weird thing is, I was pretty petite at 5'4" and 116 lbs but the picture just made me look plus sized for some reason.
I've since moved to another state so I need to go take another one, but now I'm 9 months pregnant so pretty sure that picture isn't going to be the most flattering either!

Ugh, not so much. I just had to go last spring to get a new photo because the one that was on there was expiring apparently. It was from my learners permit LOL so, I suppose it was quite old. But I was thinner in that picture!

Mine is decent...like 7-8 out of 10. I wouldn't make it my profile picture, but it'll do!
grapefruit / 4823 posts
absolutely not! i had a really nice picture right before this one, it was right after my wedding and honeymoon, so i was a little tan, a little thinner and my hair was nice...then i had to renew. i needed to take the stupid eye test and the guy MADE me take a new picture.....i was 9 months pregnant!!! swollen like crazy, my hair was a disaster because it was dyed the wrong color, i had no make up on because i wasnt expecting to take the picture. i almost cried in the middle of the DMV! ha i refuse to pay with credit, in the off chance someone asks to see my drivers license lol

I just had to renew mine last week and this new picture is AWFUL. It's at a weird angle because I'm short and the guy manning the photo thing was in a rush because it was the end of the day. But at least this one actually looks like me. The one I had before was from right after we got married and I was 20 lbs lighter and super blond. I was always afraid I'd be accused of having a fake ID when trying to buy alcohol because it didn't look anything like me now!

I actually really like mine! I'm really nervous to get a new picture when my license expires. I don't think it expires until 2015, though. Whew!
pomelo / 5331 posts
I do now -- I hated my first one, but when I changed my name, they shot a new picture. It was a happy surprise, and I was glad I looked cute that day.

I live in VA and I think the last time my husband went to renew his he said they said he can't smile in his picture. Seems like a relatively recent thing in this state b/c I'm still smiling in mine! I guess when you get pulled over you're never smiling anyway. I don't love or hate mine. It's decent, I guess.

It's not bad. I'm actually kind of happy with it given my previous license pictures were (O_O).

no, i liked the two i had before this, but i got my motorcycle license and they surprised me by saying i had to take a photo, so now don't like it at all.

No, I have a funny look on my face, and I was totally sweaty. My hair's also messed up. Yeh, totally not a good look.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
No.
I was in tears when I took it. I had lost my license but didn't know it until I was looking for it on the way to the airport, so I was rushing to the DMV and thought I was going to miss my flight.
pomelo / 5789 posts
Absolutely not. I'd been mugged and lost all forms of ID and it was such a hassle to replace.
I think it was trip #4 to the DMV, and 5 hours of waiting with the remnants of a black eye.
Ugh. My passport picture is much the same.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
don't love it or hate it -- i've been smiling in the last few licenses so i like them more; but this year's i took at the height of preggo face chubbs, so i don't like it as much as the last!
GOLD / papaya / 10166 posts
Yes! Surprisingly, I've had a lot of compliments on it. I'm so happy that I can renew it online and keep the picture for a while
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
Not really, they won't let us smile for pictures anymore so this is my first one without a smile. 4 more years until a new picture.

Oh my no! I blinked. I've actually had cashiers call me out on it's beauty when I've been buying booze etc. It's a hot mess.

i used to! we had ours redone right after came back from our honeymoon, so we were tanned and glowing. then they changed our state's licenses and made the pictures black and white. the same picture doesn't look so good when it's B&W. turns out the "glowing" was just a greasy face.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
No it is horrible. I forgot to take off my scarf, so I have this huge black thing around my neck. With a scoop neck tee on and didn't wash my hair that morning.
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@Mrs. Cowgirl: Dang, why would they ever make pictures b&w if you had a choice? Boo to your state!! (No offense.)
blogger / nectarine / 2687 posts
@mrbee: i think they changed them to b&w for security purposes? when they changed to pics to b&w, the whole license changed to now include a holographic part and a clear part with a tiny picture and all sorts of crazy things. it's weird.
honeydew / 7909 posts
Just like @erwoo, we can't smile in ours either. And I have about 6 chins in my new pic... Wish they'd tell ya how awful you look!
