we've had this Shark for about a year and I really love it. I'm not someone who gets particularly excited about appliances but I'm just a big fan of this vaccuum

@MrsF: wow! Thousand of people agree with you! It has awesome reviews! Thanks!

I've had a dyson ball for over ten years and it's still going strong. My mom gave it to me when I moved into my own place. I would have never spent that much on a vacuum but since it's lasted so long, I think it's worth it.

We have a Dyson. I replaced our old one after about 10 years because it didn't seem to be cleaning as well.

Miele Olympus! Mine sees daily use and is at least 5 years old. The bags are pricey but last a long time.

I loathe my vacuum!!! It's soooo loud. I end up using my little stick vacuum to avoid terrifying our dog and 2yr old! I'll be following this thread.

@MrsF: we have the same one and I love it! Its one of the best household items we own. We've had ours about a year as well.

I have a roomba that I love for downstairs and a bissell for upstairs that's all carpet..the roomba forces me to clean up before going to bed everynight which makes my house so much cleaner.

I've been through a lot of vacuums and Shark is the best one I've ever had by far! Love the lift away nozzles for toddler food messes and dog hair.

We have the same one as @MrsF: and love it. I don't profess my love for boring apparatuses normally, but after meeting a few bad vacuums, this one is great!

Love our roomba. I wasn't sure it would be worth it, but it totally is.

Following! We have a Shark stick vac that does okay for our low pile carpet/wood/tile floor combo, but I want to upgrade!

I have a Shark Lift-Away upright vacuum and a Dyson V6 Motorhead stick vacuum. I like both of them, but I use the Dyson more because it is more convenient. The Shark vacuum is awesome for the price.

We have a Shark Rocket - two actually! It easily coverts from a regular vacuum to a dust buster and has a very long cord that reaches almost every room in the house without having to unplug it. We love them! DH loves that vacuum so much he does most of the vacuuming now!

I have an Electrolux Nimble, it is a bagless, upright vac. I really wish I would have either gotten a bagless one, or on where you empty the canister over a trash can by pushing a button, rather than taking the whole thing apart.

We have a dyson vacuum. I'm actually not sure of the exact model. We received it at my bridal shower 2.5 years ago and its held up well so far. I hate vacuuming, but it works well.

We love love love our miele canister (and when I say we, I mean me. My husband vacuums only if he breaks a glass). Its going on 10 years now and it is one of the more inexpensive models (not cheap, mind you, but cheaper than others). We pair that with a dyson stick for zooming around our kitchen quickly and after LO eats. We have hardwoods throughout and a few shaggier rugs. It is THE perfect combo for us.
We also had a roomba, which we really liked, but it would often get stuck and didn't work well on the shaggier rugs, so we gave it to my bro who has hardwoods in a level 1 bedroom apt. He loves it.

We have a cordless Dyson and I love it! We have a very small house though and I can get all the floors clean on one charge. It's easy to empty and came with quite a few attachments. It's light enough that my four year old can use it as well.

The dyson cordless one!! So lightweight and easy to maneuver, I don't mind vacuuming multiple times a day! Yes; it runs on a recharge but I prefer that to all the cords. And combine that with the roomba!
