I lock my doors at night, but it's because I'm a scaredy cat when I'm home by myself. When Hubby is home, we don't lock the door. I think when we have kids and they are old enough to get up and come in, we will probably lock it when we are having 'special time'.

@regberadaisy: Haha!!! I know that my parents would lock their dorrs when we were younger.We would try to bust in and then be like, "Why's the door locked?!?".

My parents never locked theirs.

We don't even close our bedroom door anymore since having the LO. Not that she can even climb out of her crib yet (she is in a sleep sack anyway) but we just want to be accessible to her, just in case.

We keep our door open at night even though LO is almost 3. He's never gotten up in the middle of the night but we'll start closing/locking the door just during "special time" like a pp said. Otherwise I like to listen to what goes on in the rest of the house in case someone tries to break in.

Our bedroom door is open at night. I'm starting to think that might change when LO gets a little older.

My parents didn't, we don't. I guess we will start wearing pjs when LO starts walking!

Our doors CAN'T lock (they're kind of like French doors that just close by magnet), so the decision is kind of made for us!

We keep our door cracked when the air or heat are on to get circulation. My parents used to leave theirs cracked. I don't remember them ever locking their door.

Right now we close our LO's bedroom door and our own when we all sleep, but none are ever locked. When LO is older and can get out of bed in his own we'll probably lock it when there's stuff he shouldn't see.

We don't close or lock our door, our cat comes and goes at night from our bed, and that won't change after LO is here. We lock our outer doors and inner house doors (we have enclosed vestibules on both entry doors) - I don't see any reason to lock our bedroom door.
