No, I don't think I look that different but I definitely feel more confident when wearing makeup.

yes, i look less like a bleary-eyed teenager and more like a put-together adult. not as drastic a change as the example they gave, but still a noticeable difference. i wear concealer, foundation, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, blush, and tinted lip balm. i think the eyes and blush make the biggest difference for me.

Not really, I just look a little nicer. But I don't wear much and I'm not that good at it. If I tried the makeup in that photo I would look like a little girl who got into mommy's makeup.

I think I look about the same. Just prettier and more mature if I am rocking makeup.

I think I look drastically different with eye make up on.

My husband assures me I look just as beautiful without makeup, but unfortunately I do not feel that way. I look really different, I think, and I took a side by side photo like that recently for fun

I think I look the same, but more awake with mascara. I don't know how to apply makeup like the photo, so I have never looked that glamorous.

I don't think I do, but if I don't wear anything, people always comment on how tired I look, regardless of if I actual am tired....

I look more enhanced. My skin not blotchy and even. I usually do natural makeup, even for my wedding.

yes now that i love to go more dramatic and i'm really into makeup!

When I was growing up I knew a woman who wore makeup like that on a daily basis. The few times I saw her without makeup it was like seeing a different person! I vowed then never to wear makeup that would change the way I look and I have stuck to that. I wear very little on a daily basis and save lipstick and eye makeup for special occasions. So I look pretty much the same, and I am glad!

I have been playing with eye makeup lately, but normally I don't wear any. I look about the same, just a little more put together on some days.
papaya / 10570 posts
Yes, if I don't wear make up, colleagues ask if I'm ill because I look so pale. I was asked if I needed to go home sick once!

Maybe a little? I'm not really an expert in applying, though, so I keep it pretty minimal. The most exciting I'll go is a bit of concealer (not full coverage foundation), natural-looking eyeliner, brown or grey eyeshadow, a little blush, and lip color. I imagine I look mostly the same but a bit better (I hope!)

I think I look more pulled together and awake, but not too different. I don't wear any drastic makeup though - just BB cream and concealer for uneven skin tone, neutral taupe eyeshadow, and eyeliner to make my eyes pop a bit more.

I think I look very different with and without. Especially eyebrows and eyelash/makeup areas.

I look less tired with makeup, but that's about it. I don't wear a lot. I went to a friends bachelorette party a couple years ago, it was at the lake. She wasn't wearing any makeup and I honestly didn't recognize her at all. I thought it was her sister who I had never met. ( her half sister at that.) She looked 100% different.

Not too different but even my full glam face is pretty minimal. Lol

I look somewhat different. Since I suffer from lingering acne scars makeup evens out my skin tone, add mascara and blush and it's obvious when I'm bare faced.

I look really different. I am a really light blond with blond eyelashes so if I'm not wearing mascara I look super washed out.

I look a little more put together and less tired. I try not to wear enough make up that I look like a different person...just a better, fresher person lol

I don't do dramatic makeup so I think I just look like a more out together, less tired/baggy eyed version of my no makeup self!

I don't think there is a big difference, but I wear very little makeup and prefer a natural look.
nectarine / 2262 posts
I look very different - naturally I am very fair and my eyelashes are basically transparent/whitish so I look dead. If I had *any* natural color on my eyelashes I would look pretty much the same with/without makeup. So, I always wear a little mascara at least.

It varies quite a bit - I'm always wearing some amount of makeup, from just a little concealer/powder to a full on super dramatic look depending on the situation. I definitely look different, but I don't think it is so much that I look like a completely different person. I also think that people are used to me changing up my look, so they expect me to look a little different when they see me. That's a part of why I like to do different makeup looks so often, keeps people guessing!
pineapple / 12234 posts
There's a big difference. I've always been a make up junkie so there's not a day that goes by that I don't put on a full face.

I have rosacea, so I look much better with makeup even though I don't do much more than either natural makeup, or a winged liner and red lipstick.
grapefruit / 4355 posts
Not really - but I hardly wear any makeup (if I wear anything at all)!
pomegranate / 3192 posts
I wear really minimal makeup but when someone does my makeup for me, I look really different. I look much better with some makeup (especially something to even out skin tone) but I don't know how to apply it so I just use eye makeup daily! It definitely makes me look more awake.
pomegranate / 3329 posts
I wish I could do my makeup like that!! I'm allergic to so much that I'm scared to try.
I do look differebt, I don't like the way I look sans makeup, with it I look more even toned and awake.

@californiadreams: I had never seen that video before. It's really powerful...and sad.
nectarine / 2600 posts
I think so. Most likely because it's a total transformation. Like right now, my hair is a rat's nest, I have my glasses on, no makeup, etc...As opposed to done hair, contacts, and makeup.
grapefruit / 4819 posts
I look pretty much the same, just a bit better. I go of minimal makeup though, even at the best of times - blush, eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss, and that's about it!
My SIL is one of those people who looks like an entirely different person without makeup - almost to the point that people do a double take when they see her without makeup because she looks so different!
