I have two nephews on DH's side (18 and 6) but we don't often see them. My brother is 23, but has a serious long time girlfriend and we were talking over Easter (my brother). He was referring to my girls being older than any cousins they may have because his thought process was having his first around 28. I was a little amused he has such a plan! but man am I looking forward to it...eventually

Yes! My older sister married in July and they are planning to TTC within the next year. I grew up with lots of cousins and I would love my kids to have at least SOME!

I have none to look forward to. My husband's sisters are much older and have much older kids and we don't really keep in touch. My brother lives on the other side of the country. I look forward to seeing those nephews once a year.

It is fun having nieces. I have two young nieces. Unfortunately, when my first niece was still an infant, my SIL went crazy and banned the entire family from seeing them for a year (claiming we did something that 1. We honestly didn't do and 2. Was not bad at all). There was no warning, just one big fight of this accusation and we denied it. We didn't know it would be a year at the time; we thought we may never see them again. Things are better now, but it really dampened my perspective. I think with a nice, normal family, it would be wonderful. I just never felt that I could fully enjoy it after that because they could make something else up that we did. I don't want to get attached and have my heart broken all over again.

We have 1 niece and 3 nephews on my side. 2 nieces on DH's side. Love them like crazy! Despite the distance, my older daughter is close and loves her cousins a ton! We are both so happy about that.
We drive to visit my side a few times a year and they come to visit us 2-3x a year as well. DH's nieces are in FL (we're in Ny) so that one is a little harder. But they come visit their dad a few times a year as well. We all FaceTime often which is great.We're both the babies so we won't be having any additional nieces or nephews. Unless someone has a surprise baby!

My sister is much much younger than me so it will be a while before she has kids! So I'm glad at least DD has cousins from DH's side.

I don't think I'm getting any--and I have three siblings
The most likely candidate is my brother in Florida but he needs to get his life together, I'm sorry to say any niece/nephew from him I probably would never see. My other brother is just trying to keep himself alive (that sounds dramatic, but it's true) and my sister is like, "NOPE, NEVER HAVING KIDS!"Which is why my mom keeps looking at me for another grandchild. Ugh.

I'm an only child, but I have a niece and nephew on my husband's side. Unfortunately, we're not very close to my BIL/SIL so I don't get to spend a lot of time with them.

I don't know if it's going to happen for us! I'm am only child and BIL is 38 and enjoying the bachelor life. So no prospects anytime soon

My brother has a daughter, but him and his ex aren't on good terms. We only see her sporadically, but I love love love seeing her with my daughters. She's 8 and my kids are 2 and 10 months and she just loves them to bits. My sister just got married this summer and is TTC. I can't wait for her to have babies!

I'm not sure. I have two nephews and I adore them. My husband's sister is unmarried and doesn't plan to have children. My sister is in her late 20s so she could still get married and have kids but she has such a busy lifestyle it's hard to imagine. I think she is open to it someday. If she has a boy she'll sure get a lot of hand-me downs from our boys.

I have a nephew on DH's side. He's 8 and we don't see him often. And when we do, he's completely tucked away with his iPad.
My brother is 26 and lives on the opposite side of the world with no serious girlfriend that I know of so I don't expect kiddos from him anytime soon. However, we have plenty of kiddos in our lives from close friends to make up for it! Too many maybe, if that's possible. lol

While we have tons on DH's side they're all older and I'm looking forward to my sisters kids more. It'll be a long time though.

My dh has a niece and nephew that are 7 years and 5 years older than dd. I have 1 younger brother, but I don't see him having kids anytime soon, if ever.
In a way it's similar to how I grew up. I had 1 cousin on my mom's side who was about 2 years younger than me. But on my dad's side they're 10 and 12 years younger.

My brother's wife has baby fever like crazy and so I'm hoping she'll have a baby within the next year. She claims she wants it to be two years, but I'm hoping it's sooner! We are pretty close so I'll be so so excited when they have a baby.
I have two nieces from DH's side and they're totally adorbs.

DS has 5 boy cousins, no girls (yet) on DH's side. My parents only have DS for a grandchild - it would be nice if my sister has kids but I'm not sure if she's ready yet.

Yes! DH's siblings are all settling down so I'm expecting a baby boom in the next couple years. They are all so good with DD. I can't wait to see them as parents.
It will be a lot longer before my siblings have any kids.

I am looking forward to it! I have one nephew. He is already 15!! I never get to see him since we live so far apart. I am not sure if my brother will have any more kids but dh has 2 brothers and a sister that will eventually. Can't wait!

They just got married this May so there's some time before they ttc, but they do want to have kids in the future! Hopefully in the next few years!

Sadly I doubt I will have any on my side. My brother has never been in a relationship and doesn't express any desire for a spouse or family. I have one niece and one nephew on DH's side and I think that will probably be it.

Yesss. But it's gonna be awhile! My sister is 23 and has never seriously dated anyone, so who knows when she'll have kids. She's my only chance at nieces and nephews because DH is an only child.

There are 4 on DH's side with no plans for any others and my sister has 5 and has no plans for more. Thankfully we get to spend quite a bit of time with all of them!

We are the last of the siblings to have kids. My boys have a total of 13 cousins. I love that. Actually, I have a 14 year old brother too so I guess they'll have even more in the future.

I have 2 nephews on my DH's side and 1 niece on my side. We live far from everyone though. I'm not close to my nephews on DH's side, but I wish I could see my niece more often.

When I married my husband, I immediately gained title of aunt to two sweet nephews! Since then, his side has had two more, and my siblings have had three. I love being an aunt! Most of the kids are pretty similar in age, J's cousin is only 6 months older than him and several are within two years of him. But even the older ones (10 and 12 I think?) are really good with him!

Yes! I joke with my sister that she is required to provide my kids with cousins (and therefore me with nieces and nephews)!

We had our nephew two months before our son but they live across the country. I'm sure at some point having the boys hang out will be fun but we both live away from our siblings so I'm not sure how much cousin time our kids will have. Also having a kid of our own has been so crazy I really couldn't care less about nieces and nephews right now. My brother won't be getting married for another year or two and my SIL has no plans yet for kids so unless my BIL pops another out soon I'm not holding my breath!

Yeah DD is currently the only grandchild on both sides. It would be nice to get her some cousins. Both my sister and DH's sister are getting married next year so.... hoping.

I think this baby will be the last of the cousins. We have 4 nephews on D's side, and 8 nephews and 8 nieces on my side (7 of the girls are technically step-nieces). We only really get to see the boys on D's side regularly, though.
