This time I love everything about the newborn stage... I know what to expect and caring for the baby is so easy compared to my 16 month old!

I loved it for the first 3 weeks when he was sleeping all the time, and I definitely had an easier time than with my first (also bc he's an easier baby).... but after the first month, the sleep deprivation set in, and that combined with caring for my toddler was soooo tiring. I couldn't wait to get out of the newborn stage.
No, definitely don't love the newborn stage!

I kind of hated it. I found it much easier once he became more interactive and noticing things, us, smiling, etc. Those first few weeks were god awful.

I loved it, but I had a sleeper, so she woudl just cuddle in my arms. I think I would have felt differently had she been a crabby baby (which I experienced after 4 weeks.)

I thought I would but I kind of hated it, mainly due to some baby blues and bf'ing trouble. I hope it's better the next time around!

I do/did! She wasn't a particularly fussy baby so I don't think I had it that bad. I actually didn't mind sleep deprivation that much I think because people told me to expect it so much! I just want to cherish each moment now that she's so tiny. Every day it seems like she's growing with each nap!

The first 8-10 weeks with #2 were hard. DS was a really easy newborn but I was so tired, all the time. Right at the end of DS's newborn stage, I started really enjoying it, though!

Once I got out of the first week of baby blues & struggling with BF'ing, I totally loved it. She was so tiny & cuddly. Of course we've had both ups & downs, but I've really loved it all so far. I got myself an awesome little person.
I'm nervous about #2 though... I'm not sure how I'll juggle a toddler/preschooler + a newborn!

I found I enjoyed LO much more once we got past the first 2-3 weeks!

Hated it. Colic, reflux, MSPI. DD didn't nap at all until she was 4 months old. No sleeping during the day and hardly any at night! I loved her but the first 4 months felt like a bad dream... The past month (6-7) has been such a joy!

I definitely loved the newborn stage, I dearly miss the snuggle time!

Hated it the first time, loved it the second... But was also excited for her to be more interactive... If I had to choose, it's not my favorite stage at all though!

I don't love it but it does have its moments. I love the snuggles. The constant feeding, poopy diapers, and crying, god the crying, not so much.

I did, even though looking back I realize I was running on fumes for weeks and weeks (and months and months, to be honest). I miss it!

The newborn stage has its sweet moments, but when PB got to around 3-4 months and his personality started showing up, I thought, "oh... THIS is why people love babies!"

I loved the snuggling, the nursing, sleeping next to each other with him in the RNP and me on the couch, and time alone together. I didn't enjoy colic, constant changes, and very little sleep. I'm loving the 6-8 month stage so far. He verbalizes, laughs, rolls over, sleeps better. CIO was life changing for us.

I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. As a FTM with a low birth weight baby and BF problems, I was so stressed.

Nope, it was miserable. Colic, BF issues, PPD, recovery from a traumatic birth. It was like a daily struggle just to keep myself going.

Yes! My LO is almost 2 months and has been such a great newborn. He is very portable right now too! That said, I am excited for neck / head control. Would love to throw him on my hip; my arms and back are tired of cradling so much.

Nope! I love 2-9 months though!
LOVING everything about my baby boy at 4 months.

NOPE. Three months and onward is good. But newborn... yikes. I'm actually hoping that I'll be much better with it next around.

@meredithNYC: That's what I'm hoping too. I'm hoping that going through it one time will make it easier the next. FTM newborn phase is like bringing an alien home. Eventually, the alien makes sense, but at first, it's something so foreign and different from the night before where there wasn't this little crying, hungry, wet/dirty being in your presence needing you for everything.

I have honestly loved every stage. I loved the sleepy cuddles when she was a newborn, but now I love her laugh and that her personality is starting to come out at 4 months! I feel like I want her to stop growing, but at the same time can't wait to see what she'll do next.

I thought I would love it more than I did. I hope I can appreciate it more if we have another baby. When Liam was a newborn, I was so tired and overwhelmed I had a hard time enjoying it. But there were definitely moments when I did!
