My mom used to call me if I wasn't home by 9pm. (this is when I was in my mid 20s and I moved back home for a bit).
It was annoying, but I loved living at home. 
It was nice having my mom cook for me, pack me snacks and lunches.. haha.
I liked having late night chats with my sister and mom too.
Oh. and dogsitters for my dog!

Yes! I loved it. But right now I live across the backyard from my parents so it's close enough. But they don't really invite me over much...

I enjoyed living at home because I get along with my family really well, but I definitely don't miss it. I love having my own house and spending time with Hubs. Plus if I lived at home, there would be no fun visits. I LOVE visiting my family now that I don't live there!

No, not at all--my parents were incredibly over-protective and by the time I moved out before college we were all VERY ready to not be living together anymore. And my mom isn't big on cooking or being the homemaker type. I do, of course, miss not having to be a grown-up and worry about bills.

I miss living at home because I didn't have to worry about anything. My parents paid for every single thing and I seriously am missing that now haha

I miss my dad's cooking and having everything taken care of (leave dishes in sink and they "magically" get washed and put away). I prefer to do my own laundry though. I wouldn't want to live with them again because they'd try to baby the heck out of me I'm sure. I'd totally wouldn't mind moving close to my parents just so I can devour my dad's home cooking, I live 3.5 hours away from them now. Boo!

No, don't miss it. Had a nightmare the other night that I was still living at home and I haven't lived at home in like 12 years! My parents are moody and strict. I like to visit, but live there all the time...no way!

Definitely not. I miss being closer to them (4+ hour drive away now), and of course I love my mom cooking for me, but I like living on my own. I go crazy if I stay overnight for more than a couple of days. I like that I have things the way I want them at my home, come and go when I need to. Although my mom did still pack my lunch for my summer job after freshman year of college-- that was nice. And she hems my stuff when needed

My mom is SO messy, so their house is always cluttered. It's really loud there. And yeah, when I was in my 20s I moved back for a bit and they treated me like a kid again... my relationship with my parents is a LOT better living away from them.

I'm so jealous you grew up with a chef and housekeeper -that is SO cool. I wish I could afford that.

I don't think so but I left at 17. I just wanted freedom and couldn't wait to leave for college. Right now, I probably wouldn't mind my parents cooking and cleaning for me.

@Coco Bee: you have such a good memory! i envy my younger self as well. definitely feel fortunate that my parents were able to provide us with that lifestyle. it's something we'll be working towards since i do kinda miss it.

I moved out at 17 the summer after I graduated. And not a moment too soon. My mother is a hoarder, and it made me miserable. I don't even like going over to her house.

@softcream: it's a gift... really I get told that all the time cause I remember everything.
I just think about how much more I could do if I didn't have to cook/clean. I do believe that the majority of my life is spent in the kitchen and I hate that!

I miss having less responsibly, but like being able to have my own space. My parents were very laid back so my at home experience was pretty good.

I work at my dad's small business. His small business is two hours from where I live, so I do stay with my parents a couple nights a week. (DH and I are moving closer to my dad's small business here shortly) I do like it (most of the time) because my mom works part-time and can watch my dog (who also commutes with me back and forth). I do help around their house with cleaning and cooking and such. When I do go back to work my mom will be watching DS or I can bring DS to work when she has to work. So I guess in short I do miss being home all the time just because there is always stuff that needs done between the business and house but I LOVE having my own place to just unwind at.
