I called my mom on Mother's Day and was overcome by a feeling of missing-ness. I realized that now that I have kids of my own, I feel closer than ever to my own mom... but she lives so far away that we can rarely ever talk.
I miss my mommy.
You?

My mom lives 20 minutes from me and I see her 1-2 times a week but I miss her when she's on vacation (like now...She's been gone for a month!).

Always! We've always been close. I'm bummed we don't live closer, but at least now it will be a slightly shorter/easier drive.

Yup. I wish we were closer to one another. I just found out the owner of my company wants to buy property in the town where my parents live. I told him I would gladly move there if he wants to move the company.

My mom and I aren't particularly close. However, there's things that my mom does or did for us when we were younger that I'm forever grateful for.

My mom's in our hometown 3000 miles and an ocean away so I miss her like crazy. As excited as I am for our baby to come in July I'm also pretty excited that my mom will be here at the same time!

Nope, but that is because I see her all the time and we talk/text pretty much everyday.

Yes! I talk to her on the phone about once a week I'd guess, sometimes more, but I still tear up every time she pulls away when she comes to visit us.

I'm lucky to have my mom close so I can see her whenever I feel the need usually! I see her at least once a week if not more!

I'm lucky as well, my mom lives 5 minutes away. and she loooves to text/facebook so I talk to her often. with all my nutty first-time-mom pregnancy questions!

Not to be a downer, but my mom passed away in July and I miss her every single day. I'm so sad that she won't be here for LO's birth (any day now) and I can't ask her questions about her pregnancies or anything.
So yeah, I do.

My mom doesn't give me a chance to miss her Especially lately. For two weeks she lived at my house after I had my surgery, and then 4 weeks after that she was at my house from 8-5 to help while DH was at work because I couldn't lift LO. Then she lived at my house for another week while DH was in the hospital. She still comes to help walk the dog and play with LO a couple days a week.
