We were just at Target and it was on clearance 50% off at $144, then I had a 20% cartwheel that brought it down to $115! We have the Britax system already so I figure just grab it first and return if needed.
How do you like it? Likes and dislikes?

@snowjewelz: love it! And that is an amazing deal. The only con to the britax seats in my opinion is they do tend to take up a bit more space in cars, but luckily that hasn't been a problem for us

The only complaint I've heard about the boulevard is the side wings are big and can block views. We have the marathon and love it!
But if I had to do it all over I would've bought a harnessed to booster instead of just a convertible. Dd2 is in the marathon now and big sister is in a graco nautilus which will eventually be a booster.

@regberadaisy: yeah I saw @winniebee post before that she didn't like the wings! Hmm good point... I just feel like this deal is so good I don't want to let it slip from my fingers lol!
@MommySLP: I feel like they already take up so much space; so a lil more space doesn't really matter after all!

I like the straps never get twisted and it's super easy to adjust. I hate that it's black and hold heat so much. We live in FL so the seat gets so hot and DD always says the seat it hot when I go to put her in it so I know it bothers her.

I liked ours when our DD was really little (5-10 months old) because I felt like the high sides really protected her. However we kind of hated it as she got bigger because it was difficult to lift her in and out of the seat while still rear facing because of the height of the side wings. We both drive cars, so the room was limited for lifting her in and out of the seat. You may not have the same issue if you drive a van or SUV.

We have the Clicktight version and LOVE, LOVE it. Seriously, no complaints at all. We will buy a 2nd one when we have #2!
ETA: We drive a Honda Accord and have had no issues. Won't be able to fit 3 across, but that was never in our plans, anyways.

@pinkb: What are you talking about? Our straps get twisted all the time! More than our Cosco seat! Am I doing it wrong?
I am pretty meh on ours. I feel like it is a very safe seat so that makes me happy. I hate that it is black and the cover feels cheap somehow. It doesn't fit as well as the covers for some other seats. It's HUGE and also a pain in the ass to install. I actually prefer our Cosco seat that we use a back-up!
But, all that to say, we also got a great deal on it so I'm fine with it for that reason. If you can get a good deal, you are getting a very safe seat which is the most important thing.

We have it and are satisfied. That said, we rarely drive, so I only use it a few times per year.

We have one and love it. We don't have the click tight version though, that is a game changer in terms of install, so I would rather have it than not.

@pinkb: DH was just saying that to me... On the B-Safe infant seat, our straps are always twisted and so annoying!
@Lilbear: Ahh very good insight! We do drive an SUV, I plan to see if we can install it in the car to try it out
@daniellemybelle: Yeah, that's my biggest thing. it was only $115!!
@looch: Ours isn't the click tight either, but don't you really just install it just once and that's it?
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@snowjewelz: With Britax seats, when your child reaches 40 pounds, you can no longer use LATCH, you must switch to a seat belt install. I personally get stressed about using the seat belt for the install, but Britax has basically made it fool proof with the new click tight installation method.
Also check the expiration date of the seat, it could be that it's an older model and it would suck to have it expire before you can get the full life out of it!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@looch: But I thought when they're 40 lbs they can switch to a booster anyway? Also thanks for the tip about checking the expiration!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: Install once, yes for the most part. Until you decide to clean the car or the seat or both. Or need to clean out of necessity.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@snowjewelz: There are several things you can do after a 40 pounds, but that isn't a hard and fast limit. My son is 4.5 years old, 40 pounds and isn't ready to sit in a belt positioning booster. He sits in a harnessed seat, like the britax boulevard or the britax frontier.
You can go to a harness to booster seat, like the Britax Frontier. You can use that seat as soon as you move your child forward facing and it converts to a belted booster.
Or, you can continue to use the convertible seat. In forward facing mode, the blvd can be used until your child is 65 pounds.

@looch: Ugh, I read a really good in depth article comparing the two, and now I want the clicktight, lol! No wonder this one's on clearance cause they released clicktight version of everything now!
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@snowjewelz: Yeah, that was my suspicion as to why it was on clearance.
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
@snowjewelz: you could always get that one as the "second car" seat. We move the seat in and out of my car A LOT. We hardly ever move the seat out of my husband's car. So, we don't really worry about moving them around. Once she gets past 40lbs, then we may consider a different seat. My 3 year old is currently 32lbs and I don't see her hitting 40 for a while.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@mediagirl: That is true. DD is only 7.5 mo so we're a lonnnng way away from 40 lbs!
eggplant / 11408 posts
@looch: @snowjewelz: Yeah, ClickTight changes everything. Install is ridiculously easy. But I agree about that being a good 2nd seat. Once you get it in, you won't be moving it around much, if it isn't your primary seat!
cantaloupe / 6669 posts
Click Tight is NOT easy for me. I am a car seat idiot, I guess.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@daniellemybelle: haha oh no! meanwhile, DH supposedly watched some youtube videos and says the seatbelt install is not difficult. So I think we'll def keep this seat, at least as the 2nd seat.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: We have Boulevard seats (2) that we have been using for C for about 3 years now. We will use them for K as well and run right up to the expiration I believe.
The seat belt install isn't hard, but I've not been able to use the Click Tight technology either.
The wings are a bit of a PITA and we have broke a set of them. They are a high density Styrofoam. But you can order a replacement set.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: I'm glad to know it's not hard! I guess they are just advertising the CT to be totally fool proof and you can have peace of mind that you did it right b/c it has an indicator too.
How do the wings break? I know other people have said sometimes the kids don't like the wings either... But then again, if it's safe then I rather have them than not!
pomelo / 5298 posts
C likes to pull the wings in toward her head. Which I think weakened them. And they actually broke during an install when K was born. We moved one of our seats to my sisters car and somehow in that move it cracked fully. Still functional, just a little flimsy. We bought a replacement and glued the broke one. After I glued it she broke it again. DH said to leave it. It's in his car which doesn't get used as often.
