Or does your SO pack/buy their own lunch?

No, I pack lunch for me, and the 2 kids - DH does his own thing (either packs or buys)

I'll occasionally put a lunch together for him if he is running late in the morning, but generally he packs lunch himself or buys lunch on the go.

Never. I'm not getting up at 5am! I help pack leftovers into containers that fit in his lunch bag after dinner each night.

He's a SAHD now, but when he worked, I absolutely did not pack his lunch! He was in charge of his own lunch, whether that was pack or buy. I work and he doesn't pack mine

I used to pack up leftovers or whatnot when I was a SAHM, but the earliest he ever has to work is 12, so I didn't have to get up early or anything to do it.
Now that I'm a WOHM, though, I don't.

I usually do because I'm portioning out mine at the same time, and it's always leftovers.....last night he was studying for a test, though, and I made him a sandwich. If he's breaking down dinner, he'll pack me one, too, so it isn't a one way street.

Nope! Though he usually buys lunch. I pack my own and the boys.

Yep, I prep every meal in some form. But I do it once a week - just make a bunch of sandwiches, ziploc bags of fruit and veggies, keep a tray of granola bars and snacks on the counter and he throws it all in a bag on the way out the door.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
I do, because I am making ahead in bulk for the week for the both of us.
Sometimes he'll supplement with a sandwich, he makes one for himself and one for me too.
pomegranate / 3565 posts
Most of the time because I'm packing my own for the next day. Might as well do his. If he has annoyed me, I don't!

Nope. He buys his lunch, which kind of annoys me because it's more expensive than bringing it and he eats like crap. But he doesn't want the stuff I make (lots of vegetarian soups, chilis, and rice bowls) and I'm not making two things so...buying it is, haha.

Never. As someone else said--I also work and he doesn't pack mine! He either packs something for himself or eats in his work cafeteria. Or doesn't eat (shrug).
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
We pack if there's enough leftovers for the both of us. If not, I usually take the lunch and he'll buy.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
Both. If I'm doing clean up at night I pack his lunch. Otherwise he does it in the morning or if he's running late I do it. He only buys if there aren't leftovers.
persimmon / 1196 posts
He takes care of his own lunch, but I do try to keep things in the house that he likes to discourage him from buying takeout. If we ate the same things for lunch, I wouldn't mind prepping his when I make mine at night, but he wouldn't like what I take.

Every morning. It might as well have been in our wedding vows.
pomegranate / 3643 posts
Sometimes when I pack up leftovers. He doesn't usually take much, just a yogurt or a sandwich. So sometimes I will throw in some extra fruit.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
We pack each other's depending on who is going to work and who is staying home with Theo. It's easy because it is always leftovers so we pack it the night before.
pomegranate / 3127 posts
Usually one of us packs lunch for both while the other one tells B a bedtime story. I much prefer when DH is the one packing lunch, for some reason it's my least favorite chore ever
pear / 1693 posts
Yes I always plan to make extra dinner so he has leftovers for lunch. I pack it when I put away dinner leftovers at night.

DH works at home, but I try to have something ready for him to eat for lunch. He's not good at remembering to eat otherwise.

Nope, never. But sometimes when he takes a sandwich for lunch he makes me one too.
pomelo / 5132 posts
He has occasionally made me lunch, but I mostly make his or tell him what to take from the fridge (we're trying to avoid him buying lunch). I pack leftovers most times. He often forgets to take it or leaves it the car, so I have to remind him 100 times...
pineapple / 12793 posts
I put aside leftovers for him every once in a while. He and his partners go out a lot though.
grapefruit / 4418 posts
Not a chance! I have no idea what he does for lunch most days - probably buys? Lol
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I make him one at night before bed. Usually while we are making dinner or cleaning up dinner. He is really absent minded so he would never pack one for himself and doesn't really get a lunch break.
