Never, and neither of our families did when we were growing up either.

In our current house, the garage is 1 car plus a workshop and it's detached from our house. The driveway goes past the side of the house into the backyard, where the garage sits. It would be a major PITA to park my car in the driveway, move the gate open, then drive it forward into the garage.

Plus, the garage is DH's mancave. He has a TV, pool table and darts board set up in there, plus all of his yard equipment, our DIY equipment, tools, etc.

It's pretty much a guarantee that unless we move into a house that has a dedicated mancave, we will never park cars in our garage.

Yes! We have a two car garage and two cars and they both get parked in the garage. It drives me nutso that our neighbors do not park in their garage (or on their driveway for that matter) and PARK IN FRONT OF OUR HOUSE. Seriously it is a huge point of contention for me. Park in front of your own house! And if your garage is so full of stuff....purge some of it so you can park in there!

@Mamaof2: What's a garage?! We don't have one ... When we did have one, we both parked in it, and used the attic for storage.

We park in our garage and so do most of our neighbors. However one street over, almost all the houses on that street use their garage for storage.

we always park in the garage, but a lot of people in our neighborhood don't seem to. I suspect because of nicer weather here in TX. we do get summer hail but maybe they plan ahead for that? we haven't seen what people do for winter yet.
