I think in some jurisdictions there's a just a basic county tax rate and then the county allocates the money to schools.

We don't but it's b/c DH's job has an exemption.

We don't pay a specific school tax. We just pay a property tax to our county and they allocate from there. We actually have lower tax rates than the next county over but far superior public schools (some of the best in the nation). But, our county has much higher average home values that they can assess on, plus, the next county over contains a large city and their taxes go to things like stadiums and convention centers where ours have much less to cover.

Yes. We have it as part of our normal city/property taxes but we also pay an additional tax because our school district and tax district are different.

Ours is just part of our city property tax bill.....which has gone up nearly 20% in the past 3 years......ugh......

I'm pretty sure that ours is just part of our basic property tax bill. I've never seen anything specifically broken out.

Not specifically, but I assume it is included in our property tax.

Yes. It is part of my property tax. In the city where I used to live there was actually a school property tax and a school wage tax.
