No, but I wouldn't mind doing so. When I worked retail it absolutely drove me insane that at least twice a day when I was price-matching Amazon for a customer, they'd actually try to engage me in an argument about how I shouldn't be charging them tax. "You're not really price-matching Amazon if you're charging tax! You lied to me about the price!" Um, no. I assumed you had common sense and realized that it would be against the law for me to not charge sales tax on this product you're buying from an actual store. Sigh.

I've always had to pay tax on Amazon, I think they have a warehouse here in Tx that's why. So I've started using diapers.com where I pay tax but get free shipping (really fast shipping, I even had free next day shipping before).

Yes, but not on everything? I haven't quite figured out what the difference is yet.

Yep! We live in the land of Amazon. One tip. Some items have options to buy from other sellers out of state (look for 'other options' on the right) which can be a way to avoid sales tax. I don't remember if 'fulfilled by Amazon' stuff counts, but it might.

Yes, but the Illinois Supreme Court just ruled it unconstitutional. I think I've been paying tax on Amazon for a few years now. In IL/Chicago, you get used to paying ridiculous taxes far too easily.

@Mrs. Lion: Yes, yes they are. For some reason people seem to forget that stores have to follow the law, and that we also have to pay for the products we sell. We make about the same amount of money on a $1,000 TV as we do on a $3,000 one, but when people buy the more expensive one they think it means they shouldn't have to pay tax, and that they should get all their accessories and complicated installations for free. I think it just means they're getting a better TV.
Sorry, I kind of went off on a tangent there, this is just one of those subjects that makes me kind of ragey. I'm better now!

Yes, they started September 21st, but then it seems like it's not everything, so no idea what's up with that.

Nope. We're in Oregon, no sales tax. I didn't realize that I didn't pay tax on online orders until I just double checked.
