So I totally messed up yesterday...

I lost an earring last week when my husband was here visiting me (we're in a temporary ldr right now...) and he said that we should go shopping to replace it and it'd be my anniversary gift. We didn't end up going shopping since our time was crunched, so yesterday I went to a store that sells the same brand, thinking they might have the same pair, and they didn't but I ended up buying a bracelet instead. But when I told him I got my anniversary gift, he says he had already bought me one! Oops, I had no idea--it'd only been 4 days and I thought he was struggling with what to get! I usually give him ideas anyway, via Pinterest. Our anniversary isn't for a couple weeks so I feel bad for preempting him, but we won't actually be together for it and plus, we already him got his gift, which he picked out--tickets for a concert while he was here. ooooh well! I don't think he's really upset, and the bracelet will just be a very early Chanukah present instead, but still, I feel bad!

Does anyone else pick out or buy yourself presents? Or do you wait to be surprised? Has anyone else ever messed up and bought yourself a present when you shouldn't have?

And for good measure, a picture of the single earring left and my new bracelet, because I still love it even though I feel bad, haha. I'm going to have to get the earring made into a pendant so I can still wear it...
