I really want to volunteer with Charlie and Olive so that they know how fortunate they are to have all they have, learn compassion for others who are less fortunate, become more socially aware, and just become more selfless. Working in soup kitchens, fostering animals, participating in community initiatives like cleaning up litter/parks/etc. are all things I'd love to do.

Yep! We actually wanna take our kids on medical missions.. Mexico, Africa, south America..
Will start off with soup kitchens probably.

Probably. Since I enjoy volunteering now, I don't see why I wouldn't bring them along if it was kid friendly.

Absolutely! My mom MADE me volunteer when I was young but I didn't see the value in it because no one really taught me what I was doing...She just forced me. I want to volunteer with my kids to show and teach them. I would probably volunteer with them at a hospital, soup kitchen, and even overseas missions with our church.

Well we're aid workers so it's a way of life for us, but yes, our kids will most certainly be involved.
Some of the things we do (counseling, birth education) aren't things they can really help with, but other things (teaching ESl to children, delivering Christmas packages to homeless kids, etc) will be great opportunities for them to volunteer along with us!
They'll be working alongside us from a very young age, but if when they get older they decide they want to do a different type of volunteering, we'll certainly support that and make sure they have the ability to do so.

Definately. We already volunteer for the MS society and our kids will be involved as well.

We always do mitzvah day at temple, so we'll do that with lo too. And hopefully shell be in girl scouts and we'll do volunteer projects in that too.
