Bee and I pound fists pretty regularly (mostly started by me).
We also pound fists with Charlie regularly, against started mostly by me. I can't wait til he starts to offer his fist for a pound. It will be a very exciting day, although I'm not sure why.

We do...even DS tries to (gently) pound his little sisters fist, although she's 3 months old so she has no idea what he's doing haha.

I'm not really into fist pounding so I almost never initiate it with LO but my husband has taught him the gesture. Lo will sometimes ask for it after I ask him for a high 5. He's also asked to "pound it" on his own after he's done something he's proud of. It's cute in those instances. My husband also tries to teach him the pound-explode which I'm totally against.

DH and I don't pound fists or high five.. I think we're huggers. I'll have to pay attention the next time something worthy of a high five happens!

My son started doing that and high fives about a month ago. It's adorable I think. His daycare taught him mostly.

We're more of a high five family. My hubs and i will also "hug it out" after a fight. He'll literally come up to me and say "Alright, let's hug it out" and then we do the man hug, where you lean towards each other, but not touch bodies and then pound your fist on each other's backs a couple times.

Oh man, I feel like such a foreigner! They don't do any of that here. I used to do the cool handshakes with old college friends back home but it's been years and I lost it along the way. Moving back to the States is always a possibility ... I wonder what other little nuances my LO will be missing out on.
