I prefer the ones that rhyme and have meter... so much easier to memorize and have fun with!
My son really loves chapter books though, which are a huge snooze for me. Zzzzzzz.... I end up putting myself to bed.

I like ones that flow nice, 'Llama Llama hop, llama llama jump, llama llama red pajama thump thump thump'...I've got that one memorized. However, LO1 is into some other books that don't rhyme but they are easy one liner pages, I like those. Not too wordy.

Since my so is only 6 months - I like rhyming Dr. Seuss. But I can't wait until he's old enough to enjoy chapter books!

I love a good rhyme but I seriously just love reading to my kids!

DH loves reading the Dr. Seuss books. He makes it sound like a rap and pauses for an instrumental beat box. I get tongue tied no matter what.
