I wear both, my watch is stainless steel and gold, I wear my white gold engagement ring with a set of gold stack rings, I love, love, love David Yurman, who is the master of mixed metals and stones, IMO.

I prefer silver-toned jewelry.

so funny you ask this, because I've worn silver / white gold jewelry every single day since probably high school, but Rob Sr. bought me a gold toned necklace for valentine's day this year and I really wanted to wear it today, so I switched to gold! My rings are all still white gold, as are my earrings, but I wore a gold bracelet (to take the place of my watch since all my watches are silver toned).

White gold, but I love my wedding ring which is braided gold and white gold.

My rings are rose gold, which is the gold I prefer. I do love mixed metals, but I think yellow and rose gold work best for my skin tone.

@tina: You should! My mom’s rings are rose gold as well so I grew up loving it. Some are pinker than others, but it’s a complementary shade of gold, IMO.

silver toned. white gold or platinum. i'll only buy sterling silver if it's plated with rhodium or something so it won't tarnish - too big of a headache to take care of those that aren't - too high maintenance.

i love yellow gold - i have olive skin, so i like how it looks on it - it was actually hard when i got engaged to find a yellow gold engagement ring, everything was white (either white gold or platinum)
