We always did growing up and DH and I do it, too. Although I preferred the fruity kind back then, now I like the plain 'ol peppermint.

We used to until we found a pile of wrappers and a mutt with suspiciously fresh breath.

We used to but had the same mysterious situation as @espion. Curious.

@Espion: oh man, I never thought about that. Silly puppy.
We used to growing up-my favorite are the fruity ones. We don't have any on our tree right now, but I kind of want to put some up. Though, I'll have to put them on the top, because I don't want to cure our pup's bad breath with a candy cane...

@Espion: Haha, oh no! Our dog leaves the tree alone for the most part but I still put them up high to be safe! He was watching me like a hawk while I was eating one earlier though!

Nope...just some glass ones hanging on there. I don't particularly like candy canes.

Yes, but usually Santa left them for us, so they weren't there all season.
No one really ate them so my mom would save and reuse them. I tried this last year, but I live in a warm climate an found mine melted this December. Gross! Now I've discovered cinnamon ones that I actually will eat, mmmm!

No, but there currently is because BIL took it upon himself to put some on our tree because his girls love it....

Not anymore. We never did growing up. I did for a period of time in college when I was too broke to buy enough ornaments so I really needed something to fill in the bald spots. Now that I have lots of ornaments I don't do it anymore.

we do the peppermint ones! our tree is red, green and gold though, so the fruit ones dont match,,,, when the baby is old enough to eat them, we will probably switch

We do, but we don't eat them so they go back on the tree every year. We're going on Year 7 and they still look brand spanking new! haha! gross, I know!
