I'm really picky about clothes and returned everything I didn't like. I imagine I'll stick with that plan once LO gets here.

I am so afraid we are going to get a bunch of clothes that I don't like as shower gifts. I am hoping I can figure out where they got them and return them. Otherwise I will use them for outfits when we aren't leaving the house.

If I couldn't return them, I use them as her backup clothes at daycare. Except I swear she ends up wearing them more that way, since she's been a blowout machine lately!

Yup. She goes to daycare in those clothes!! Yesterday, she went to school in head to toe pink with a pink animal print shirt on. Oh yeah. Never in my life would I have bought her those things (or an entirely pink outfit) but in our house, if it fits, she wears it!

I use them on rainy days... aka days that we aren't leaving the house

All the meh clothes I send to daycare as backup clothing. But most of our friends and family have good taste : )

Nah, I use them as back up diaper bag outfits. L has way too many cute clothes to waste a day on an ugly outfit!

I use them for around the house days when I'm not dressed so cute myself. And sometimes, I just put them on him so I can feel like he got some use out of them. I'm too busy and just don't prioritize selling them or taking them to a thrift store. And I just feel too guilty if he doesn't wear them-- there are lots of parents who would love new clothes for their kids, so if we're going to keep them, might as well wear them and be grateful people cared enough to buy them. And anyhow, babies and toddlers can wear potato sacks and strangers will still coo at how adorable they are. There's lots of time to put more emphasis on dressing cute when he's older.
