This would really gut me. If there's a problem with my chores, I prefer to hear the feedback so I can do it the proper way.

Although if it's just a matter of personal preference, I'm not always convinced that one way is better than the other.

I used to redo folding the laundry - okay, I still sometimes do it. We just fold clothes differently, not that one way is right or wrong. His folding method is just very haphazard and messy looking. I don't really mind for our clothes, but I like to keep the kids clothing neat. His mom folds clothes the same way so I think that's where he gets it from.
I don't redo dishes but I have to finish them up. He always leaves one or two behind unwashed in the sink which boggles my mind. Every time.
I used to nag about how I prefer things to be done but now I just try to appreciate that he is helping with the chores - especially after a long work day.

Ugh, I do sometimes. I HATE the way my husband does the dishes especially! He never had to do chores growing up (his mom stayed at home and did all the cooking, cleaning, etc.) so he doesn't do them all that well. One of the many reasons my kids will do chores...but that's a whole other can of worms.

I used to but I stopped doing that after my husband said he felt like I was indirectly criticizing him. Plus, when I started re-doing his chores, he would get upset and not do them. I'd rather have him do the chores his way than not at all! But with that said, he's actually really good around the house (his laundry skills are out of this world) so I don't really have much to re-do.

No, we're the opposite. He has to redo my chores.

Pretty much always. I used to tell him and grumble about it but now I realize that he really just can't do certain things up to my standards - he's just not wired that way (and he can't see that well!) - so I don't feel it's right for me to get upset. I just decide how much it bothers me and then re-do it or let it go. I'm admittedly a control/clean-freak so I can't just assume that all my expectations are totally reasonable.

I used to all the time. Now I say something. Like he used to always forget to clean the outside of the toliet, but I said something to him and now he does it all the time. Instead of cleaning up after him when he does the kitchen, I say, honey you forgot to clean the counter tops and oven. Then he does it. Glad that I am saying something instead of doing it all myself.

Never. I'm so thrilled that he does a chore - any chore - that I leave it be. More often than not, he'll redo something I've done. Because he's anal and meticulous and I'm totally not.

Only the dishwasher. He loads it do dang weird! And then all the dishes don't fit. The rest I don't touch - I want him to "own" the chores he does. If I redo everything, I think he'd get pissed and stop doing it.

Hmm... I don't because there aren't many chores he does for me to re-do! I would think that if he saw me re-doing them, he would feel it's pointless for him to do in the first place. I'm grateful when he does any kind of housework, so I leave it be!

re-doing chores is something you do for a child, not an adult. once in awhile i get sloppy when i do dishes and my husband will say, "hey you didn't clean this pan well enough" but that's not a big deal. i am of the opinion that if i want it done a certain way, i should do it myself. i'm not going to re-do something just b/c it's not to my liking.
