I didn't see P right away b/c the way we delivered... I honestly don't remember the very first thing I say, maybe "what is it?" since we were team green.....

I do remember promptly apologizing to the nurses for not having been very kind when getting me checked in though! lol

@grizz: Heh, mine is nearly the same: "He's got red hair?? Really??"

With DS it was "is he ok?" cause he was 8 weeks early.

With S it was, "thank god, that feels so much better!"

My baby! My baby! My baby! Over and over, with my arms outstretched towards the table where they were working on her.

@runsyellowlites: haha, I was basically the same! I saw she was a girl and cried it's a girl?! And then I started apologizing for all of the whining and crying I did during my pushing to the doctor and nurses.

@grizz: hahaha, that's awesome. I really had to restrain myself from saying anything nasty to the doctor and nurses. My pitocin was turned up to a 10 which was the highest it was all day and I had about five-ten seconds between contractions. I was not a happy camper.

@sorrycharlie: that's exactly what I said! But that's bc the doctor told me it was a girl, and even though we were team green I thought it would be a boy. There were 3 other girl babies born in our families within that year, and we thoughts odds were it'd be a boy.

It is a girl, isn't it? Is she okay?

I must have asked if she was okay a million times until they brought her over to me. I also asked if she had hair.

Next time I really should say something better!

No I don't, but I remember writing it down on here (on another thread) shortly she was born.

I was freaking out because the cord was wrapped around his neck and he wasn't crying. In my head crying = healthy, breathing baby. But he didn't cry till hours later.

After that I said, "OH MY GOD IS THAT NORMAL!?!" because so much fluid came tidal waving out of me it splattered against the wall.

Where'd she get that chin?!?!

"How much does she weigh?" She looked so skinny. She was almost 3 pounds less than the ultrasound predicted.

So many redheads on this thread! I was shocked my baby had red hair too but I couldn't tell until later when they had given her a bath.

She's so small!! The doctor was like mmm no not really, she's average. Haha!
