My LO is only 11 weeks old but she just sneezed all over her toy links, I didn't bother washing them...but was thinking if she were older and constantly had things in her mouth I probably would. Do you wash or sanitize your LO's toys? If so, how?

Yes. I rotate the kids toys out every few months (3-5), so when I bring the new toys in from storage, I sanitize them before I put them away in the toy box. Non-electronic toys I soak for 15 minutes in bleach water; electronic toys just get wiped down with a Clorox wipe and then a wet washcloth. Stuffed animals/puppets/soft toys get washed in the machine on the gentle cycle and then air dried. I also wash their bath toys about once a month. Those I just put on the sanitize cycle in the dishwasher.

I used to wash them once a week when she was a baby. Now she doesn't put anything in her mouth so I just do it once in a while.

Every once in awhile I will. Usually if we have a play date at our house.... I'm paranoid more about other kids because she's not in day care so she doesn't get many germs.

I don't want to completely hijack the thread, but if you santize, how do you do it? what % of bleach to water - or do you use lysol?
