I have never bought anything at either of these stores! My wallet cringes at just the name.

Never, not even on sale. @mediagirl: my wallet bleeds when I just browse...

We just bought a bed at Pottery Barn-- for a big, wood bed, the price was actually not too bad (of course it's one of their cheapest ones). I felt like for a big piece of furniture it was worth the splurge.
I think I'm also going to get PBK sheets-- they are only a little bit more than the Target ones, I hear they last a long time, and they are just so darn cute. If sheets are the only bedding I'm buying, why not?
But it's pretty rare that I get anything from either of them, especially since there aren't any convenient locations to me.
ETA: I mean I am getting crib sheets. That wasn't clear.

I do not, but I did register for two things from there - our star mobile and crib skirt. I found the prices for those two items to be in line with what I was seeing from other websites and I figured for people who live near a PBK they might want to shop there for us. I found the website very un-user friendly for crib bedding in general though. Mixing and matching is really difficult to do and I didn't like any of the complete sets.

@Modern Daisy: Yes! I tried to add the sheets I want to my Amazon registry (like, the universal registry thing) since some people do live near the store, but it wouldn't let me just add the items I wanted so I gave up. I have a registry there only for the completion discount-- like 3 sheets and a crib skirt.

I don't usually shop at pottery barn (it's just a litttttle too classic for me), but I have shopped at Crate and Barrel before, and furniture prices can be similar. But yes, if I buy something that expensive, you can be sure it's a purchase I've thought a LOT about and have saved/budgeted for.
My house in Texas still has my beautiful C&B modern sectional couch and I miss that couch all the time...like, all.the.time.

I peruse a lot. Have only bought a couple things.
We plan to buy a couch from pottery barn, as they are well made and decent price.
We were going to buy LO and activity table there, because it starts out at a great height for toddlers and can grow into a desk style table for older kids so I definitely saw value in it but we kept putting it off. We'd still like to but not sure of we will.

I don't think I've ever purchased anything from either site. Don't get me wrong, I looove me some Pottery Barn catalog...but that's about as far as it goes.

@Anagram: I love CB2! I wish there was one near me.

Not PBK, but I get gifts for my mom and mother-in-law at Pottery Barn occasionally.

Oh and our duvet is from there! It was only $79 or $89 and I felt that is a similar price to target even but it was way cuter.

I L.O.V.E. PBK but it doesn't love my wallet. I try to buy selected pieces that they do well and not go overboard. Anywhere chair-- totally worth every penny.

We bought our sofa and bed there. LOs crib is from there too, but it was super on sale...we shopped around and found that for what we wanted and what we wanted to spend, if we waited for a sale, it wasn't too bad. We also used a moving discount card we got in the mail that have us an addtl 10% off.
I got some really nice really durable crystal goblets there marked down to $4.50 each. I love them for making cold drinks feel more fancy!

I can't help myself. I love all the personalized beach gear. And the holiday stuff.

I said infrequently. I will buy little things here and there. My mom loves Pottery Barn, so i get a lot of her gifts from there. Recently, I bought some nice sheets for LO's crib, and one of those cute animal hood towels from PBK.

My sister got me a $100 gift card for DS's arrival. We bought a small rug for his room and used the whole card! Other than that, no, too pricey for us!

My dining room table is from Pottery Barn. I've also bought a couple other things like a shower curtain and mirror. I've heard they have nice sheets so I'm going to get some of those soon.

We have a wingback chair from there, but that's the only piece of furniture. I do purchase random items from there, though. Almost always on sale.

Never bought anything from there, but we are considering purchasing their Anywhere chair for DS.

Very infrequently. Something I recently found that I bought at PBK was the toddler sized down comforter and duvet cover. I had been having a heck of a time finding some so when I saw them, it was a done deal. Trying to stuff a twin size down comforter in a toddler bed is overwhelming to said toddler.

Yup. I shop frequently from both. Love their style and the pieces are quality so I don't mind paying a little more for items that will last.

I have bought a few items from both stores, but don't consider myself a frequent buyer.. only a frequent window shopper!

We recently moved and had a baby, so we've been buying more furniture / accessories than normal.
I have the mini anywhere chair for babies for DS, a lampshade ... and my mom bought us his crib from PBK (it's hard to find a really simple white crib and they had one that we loved).
Our coffe table, duvet cover, and set of gallery frames are also from Pottery Barn.

I have bought a few things at PBK. I bought a personalized stocking for DS and a hooded beach towel for the summer.

We're buying all our nursery furniture from PBK. DH and I had a lot of problems finding stuff we liked in other baby stores and wanted something good quality that would last. I don't think their furniture is outrageously more than other good quality pieces (although the shipping and delivery is really where they get you.) But I doubt I can justify buying anything from regular PB for the house for a long time.

Only a few things like the anywhere chair and DS's crib bedding. If I could shop there all the time, I would

Never but I do get inspired by them. The wood growth chart we are making was something I orignally saw made by them

DD's PBK furniture was purchased by her grandparents.
She has an everywhere chair (is that what it's called? I forget and I'm too lazy to check), also a gift.
A lamb rocker thing--gift. Some other personalized stuff.
I think the only thing I purchased for her from PBK was her Easter basket and liner.. I got a plate and cup set from there too with a gift card.
I love PBK. I don't shop there often, but will buy something if it's super cute.

Never...can't afford to even look at it.
That being said, we do have a Pottery Barn bed that we bought last year, but we got it from a discount furniture place.

Only a couple pieces- LO has the anywhere chair and pbk sheets but that's it. Too pricey for us right now we are more ikea folks! Hahaha.

I'm not a fan of PB, I feel like for those prices, their furniture and things in general should be better quality (really stuff from China shouldn't cost that much). That's why I prefer Crate and Barrel and RH.
However, when LO arrived, we find ourselves buying a lot of things from PBK. Glider, storage unit, playtable, and anywhere chair. Ugh.
coconut / 8299 posts
I've only bought a few pieces...like some organic bed sheets and a few blankets. Not really my style I think. I do love CB2 though. I shop there all the time!
