I tried snowboarding once in HS. I've skiied once (and am better at that!) with DH.
DH is a skiier.

Nope to both! DH & his brother are good boarders.

I tried skiing then snowboarding in high school/college. Didn't like snowboarding... at all.
I went skiing for the first time since college after Christmas this year. I picked it up real quick. I was surprised. I had fun! Think I'm going to go more often. I think I was too overwhelmed when I went during high school/college.
I've gone skiing 3 times total in my life and once for snowboarding.

DH got me a pair of skate skis for Christmas. Yesterday was my first lesson, and aside from "trying them out" a couple times, it was basically the first time I've ever had skis on my feet in my life. Turns out we had to ski down a hill to get to the field where we would be practicing. Imagine everyone whooooshing down the hill. Now imagine me in the back silently screaming "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" doing the most awkward snowplow ever down the hill.
So, yes, I have..."skied". lol!

I've never done either, but I'm hoping to change that someday! I'd love to try skiing.

I can ski. I've never tried snowboarding. One day!

Both of us snowboard. DH use to ski but now prefers to snowboard

I started off skiing and now prefer snowboarding ... But am a better skier until I get better at snowboarding..

I snowboard but haven't been in the last two years. I really want to find someone to go with this year

I did before LO! I was a pretty proficient snowboarder and beginner skiier. DH is excellent at both. He misses going because he doesn't have anyone to go with now!

I've done both. Better at snowboarding and I have a snowboard, but haven't done it in years.

Snowboarding! I skied for a few years (sporadically, like once or twice a season) and was terrible at it. I then tried snowboarding and after two lessons, I had it down pat - I LOVE snowboarding so much!
I haven't been in a couple of years (skiing in Australia is ludicrously expensive, even though it is where I learned to snowboard) but I'm hoping to get back into it soon!

Yes, I love skiing. My first official job was working at a little bump in the road ski place

I really detest skiing. I've tried numerous times and it's just not for me.
Granted, the last time I was on a business trip and we were in the Alps and my boss was a ski instructor as a college student, so he made it his mission to get me down the mountain, but man, it wasn't pretty.

I've tried both and fell a lot. DH loves to snowboard so I'd like to learn. He wants LO to take lessons ASAP!

@looch: not all ski instructors are created equal! The first time I ever skied, I was probably 7, it was a semi private lesson, my brother & myself, and the instructor left me on the mountain! Granted it was a small mountain, but getting down wasn't pretty. I remember doing the crab, you know when your belly is up & your hands are behind you? I did that on my skis because I couldn't stay upright! Hahaha
I can ski, not well, but I can. I've never snowboarded

I ski but haven't been in a few years. I really wanted to go this year but got pregnant instead! I snowboarded once and was a disaster.

@mrs. bird: I agree, but in this case, it was the student that was the problem, not the teacher. This is a guy raised in the Alps and was certified to teach there, so he's good. He knows what to do, but the fact is I am afraid of falling, which makes it very difficult to instruct me.

I'm a boarder. Can't ski for the life of me. The hubby is the complete opposite. He's a skier and can't board for the life of him.

I ski but am not brave and stick to the greens and blues when out west. I'm sad bc the next many winters I will likely either have a newborn or be pregnant. I don't know when I can do an out west trip again! A lot of our friends are going Presidents' Day weekend this year and I'm bummed to miss out

I've never done either and don't really have the desire to. I'm a beach girl!

I do both. I grew up in a ski town and have been skiing since I could walk. In middle and high school I started snowboarding because it was "cool", but the last couple of years I've gone back to skiing. I'm too old to snowboard, lol.

Neither. I am not very sporty/athletic... I tried both and hated both haha. I still went many times when I was a teen though, I guess for the fun of being with everyone else and for the experience?

I ski and love it! I grew up skiing every winter. DH hates it though (he has super flat feet and can't stay in the boots for very long), so we hardly ever go
