I will leave our bedroom windows open but I always close and lock the kids and the bathroom one before bed - I am too paranoid someone will steal my kids! DH thinks I am crazy since we are all on the 2nd floor but I cant help it.....

We sleep with windows open. All our windows are tilted though.
ETA: We are on the second floor as well.

We did last night since it was so warm!! We are on the 2nd floor, so I don't really worry... and no kids (yet) : )

Nope! If I am home alone with R I want the alarm set.

Nope. But only because DS has allergies and the pollen is horrible.

Yes! Last night for the first time this spring and it was lovely. I cracked DDs window too. Made me want to get new window treatments though

Yup. Opened the window for the first time in the baby's room last night. We are on the second floor, I'm a light sleeper, and have a video monitor. If someone tried to break in and steal the baby, it would not end well for them...

Yesss... that's my favorite part of Spring!! I sleep SO well with opened windows.
We're on the second floor, so we just close up our ground level windows.

No, we live on a busy street, and DH has bad allergies, so windows stay closed. I don't have to think about the security issue for those reasons!

We might this week now that it's significantly warmer! We're on the 2nd floor so there's def no concern of safety or anything. Probably more of noise (even tho we live in the suburbs already).

@Littlebit: glad I'm not the only one! I could give you a run for your money.
once in awhile I'll crack ours (2nd floor) but never, ever downstairs and never O's room. I'd rather crank the a/c if needed..hah.

@tinyperson: ugh, we're on a busy street too. the pits sometimes!

@Mamaof2: same thing at our house. Our windows are open and we leave the closet window (attached to our room) open. We close and lock our daughter's window, though. She gets the fan.

We live in a ranch, but a very safe neighborhood, so we do leave our windows open. We prefer fans or fresh air to AC.

We don't because of allergies, but even if that wasn't an issue I'd be too scared. I too have an overactive fear of nighttime baby snatching... and ours isn't even here yet!

Only in the summer. We don't have AC (we only need it a few times a year in this city) so sometimes we have to have the window open for a nice breeze.
