I'm fluent in Korean and can read and write. Alas I've done a horrible job of teaching it to my kids. I plan on sending Charlie to Korean school very shortly, and Olive will go when she's a little bit older. I'm also part of a local Korean-American mom group that meets once a month.
At least the kids can eat a lot of Korean foods. I find that you have a big attachment to a culture when you love the food. But I need to step it up!
Do you speak a second language? Do you do anything to teach your LO?
) my first language is German. We're trying to teach LO by reading to him in English and he'll go to a bilingual DCC soon. Although the latter is pure coincidence albeit a happy one.
