I do. I started because I was a nanny for so many years, and then had a job in an elementary school where it was required and they paid for it. I think one of them just expired so I need to take the class again.
I think it's vital information especially as a parent!

I'm not current but I went through the class a few years ago. We're going to go through it again soon. I'm going to ask (make) my parents to go through it, as well.

Dh and I are both certified but only because of our jobs. Although if we had kids, I'd probably make sure we were anyways.

I stay current on all my certifications because of my job. Ive allowed my cna to laps because I don't use that one anymore

I was literally just on the Red Cross site to see when their next weekend class is for pediatric first aid/CPR/AED!
Unfortunately the next one we're in NYC so it'll have to be the one after.
Does anyone know if insurance covers it? I would think they do!

I'm current on first aid/CPR/AED. My employer paid to have some of us get certified so that made it easier to do.

I'm certified (teacher), but we also just re-did infant training before leaving the NICU. It's really important because things have changed even since the last time I took a real class.

No, only because things change every. single. year. and I know the basics so I'm generally okay with that. It has been a number of years since I needed it though so I guess a refresher course wouldn't hurt.

@regberadaisy: I don't think most do. In my experience, educational training isn't covered. But it doesn't hurt to call and ask

Yes! I have to because of my job. Also, as a parent, I think it is important to be certify in pediatric CPR and first aid.

Yes, as a pre-k teacher it is required. I'm also going to take a SIDS class before our LO gets here.
