Yes! At least when I'm reading for "work." I've got a school library full of paper books, so although we circulate stuff on Kindles and iPads, when I'm reading YA books for school, I usually do the paper version.

If it's an "adult" book that has nothing to do with students, I'm much more likely to read it on my iPad (the whole instant gratification can't wait to go to the bookstore/library problem).

I have a kindle, but I actually prefer to read paper books. I sometimes have to flip back to a previous chapter to re-read something, and that's just a huge pain with the kindle!

All the time; I probably check out 1-2 paper books from my library every week, plus all my school books are in paper (I find e-textbooks to be really difficult to use). I also read on my Kindle and my husband's Nook; I'm pretty non-discriminatory.

I got a nook towards the end of my pregnancy since I was up a lot in the middle of the night the last few weeks of pg and once the babies arrived. It let me read while still in the dark, and was easier to navigate size wise than the laptop while nursing. I haven't purchased any books for it though, I just check out ebooks from our local library. So for this purpose, it's perfect. But ideally I love paper books, have many, and am back to reading paper again before bed or when I sneak away to Starbucks.

Yup! I don't own a Kindle or any e-reader.

I read novels on my ipad, but for most other books I prefer hard copy. I think it's mostly because I like to be able to bookmark things and flip back and forth between multiple sections, which I just find easier to do in hard copy books.

E-readers are great for some things but, for me, I prefer more reference style books (e.g. travel guides, pregnancy books, TCOYF etc.) in hard copy so that I can underline things and flag pages with post-its. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned though!

Of course! I own a Kindle but I only use it on car trips & vacations. I much prefer the feeling of a book in my hand! Our favorite weekend activity is to go to half-price books and come home with new reading material for cheap!

Absolutely! I don't have an e-reader. I used to work in publishing and the inevitable end of paper books is something that truly breaks my heart.

Exclusively! I love pages and the smell of books! Plus, I get all my books at the library and the e-book availability isn't as great (yet)

That's all I read is physical books, I'm not against e-readers I just don't have one, and think I would prefer a book I can turn the pages, physically.

@Arden: Same here. My father died recently, and I keep finding books that he'd given me with his writing in them. Then I have a few books that have his essays or that he edited. And then there are those that were we both authors we both enjoyed and collected, but over the years I sort of absconded with his collection. I also have a book that I bought for him, but was never able to give to him, because he was in a coma by the time I got to him.

You just can't replicated those kind of memories with ebooks.
